Hurts to lose Ayers, but with Cleveland coming on board, plus Allen, Bonner, and the rest, we will be plenty deep. The future is SO bright.

Thank you for posting, so happy for him. With Cleveland and Lark coming in (both 4* WR) was worried about how Demarcus might be treated.

    UH to NFL

He may. He may not. Either way, "Geez" he went out on a hell of a high note.

Yeah, I agree. He played well all year but it sounds like he got some really bad advice on this decision. Unfortunate.

I think he does, but he's a late round guy, Like a 6th or 7th round type.

If he isn't any better than a 6th round pick he is taking a huge risk coming out.

I don't think you should come out unless you are projected to be picked in the first 3 rounds.

Well his draft stock could skyrocket after the combine if he really is running a 4.3 40. I think he could be a decent slot receiver in the NFL, perhaps even a really good one.

If he runs in the 4.3's, I could see him getting drafted in 5th-7th rounds. Wishing him nothing but success.

As some who graduated 5 years ago and went on to get a graduate/doctorate degree elsewhere (UT Houston), I’ve never been so excited/proud to be an alumni of THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON.

Not only due to the football program, but the academics and the growth of the school as a whole. Don't take it light lightly what the football program has done for school as a whole, coming from someone who donated without seeing anything in return.

Hopefully Ayers has better results at the combine than Deontay Greenberry did. Talk about wasted potential...

Any word the Texans are going to invite and honor the Coogs' Peach Bowl victory at NRG Stadium this Sunday?

Am I crazy for thinking that Kyle Postma should be the starting QB next season and Ward should go back to WR? Don't get me wrong I love GW but Postma just adds another demension to our offense with his size and passing ability. Ward is an injury waiting to happen every time he takes off.

So happy for the school and city it represents. Recently learned of past success the program enjoyed in the late 70's. Phi Slamma Jamma was only a couple of years later. Future for the school looks bright including academics. Hopefully they continue doing the city proud.

Zero chance that Greg Ward goes back to WR. LOL. I would like to see Postma back at receiver, though. He was our #2 guy behind Ayers before he made the switch mid-season.

    Yes, you're crazy.
Ward is an absolute difference maker at the college level.

Postma has done great in his appearances but hes not the dynamic play maker that Ward is. Ward is like 19-2 as a starter now? lol why try to fix something that isnt working.

    ..

Sucks that Ayers is leaving but i dont think that will hurt us as much as losing most of the defense. The strength of this team was always the ball-hawks on defense.

We have some Juco corners coming in but its going to be hard to replace those guys.

Losing Elandon Roberts is going to be really difficult. That guy was everywhere on the field. A beast.

    Yep.
Roberts and pretty much the entire secondary is gone.
The Juco transfers should help fill the void but hard to think they will be as good as the guys were losing.

The production from Farrow and Jackson shouldn't be too hard to replace imo. Their leadership is what will be missed the most.

But hey at least the offensive line will be one yr older
