Stop making a sports fan your life **** girls, make $$$, do cool stuff. I've gotten to the point where I gave up on the Texans this season when they weren't playing up to my expectations. First time in 10+ years I've done that. I didn't pick them back up until they beat the Bengals. Does that make me a band-wagon fan? Idc, but I'm living a happier life and doing cooler **** than investing emotions and time in following an inferior product. It's like continuing to watch a crappy TV show. Basically wasting time. How much does you life have to suck to do that? lol
UGH - no thanks. This team has enough talent to win it all - they just need leadership to get there - and accountability, if that is not coming from the players than it needs to come from the bench. DD
I don't know man. I could lower my expectations and not care so much for the losses. But on the other hand would I enjoy our wins? If we win another championship I want to feel the whole "How sweet it is" process with its ups and downs.
I doubt anyone in the Rockets organization (except those who disrespect the game) is about to lower their expectations so they can be happy with being in the current state of mediocrity. It's not good business acumen. Kind of like telling your stockholders to be satisfied with less ROI because they will be unhappy if they expect a better return based on projections.
Le$ already gave up this season when he named JB as the coach. JB coaches Rockets as playing toy as his will. We are nowhere to win championship.
May I also add "Heart"? I don't think they, the players, have much of it. There's the distinct possibility they may have come in to this season not looking forward to it amid all those high expectations of winning the Championship.
Lowering expectations only make me sad that we aren't good. It's nearly impossible to NOT be severely disappointed in this team. The apparent lack of effort and inconsistency is what makes this so hard to stomach.
I watch for the beauty of the game. What is useless is embedding my hopes and emotions in the actions of people I do not know and who don't know me. I keep high standards in the real world where I get **** done.
I'm with the OP. Whether or not a bunch of rich guys figure out how to play a game well does not make me a loser or give me a loser's mentality. Caring about it that much totally does.
Totally agreed, the less we care, the better we feel. Cheap ass Owner Les done at want spent another penny on a real coach
