Now that the all-star weekend is over, I am back to thinking about the Rockets. With Houston on a serious roll, will they find a way to beat the Wizards and move above .500 for the first time in 10 games? Or will they have a major home letdown against one of the worst teams in the league? Personally, I think the Rockets have gone through a major maturation process during the last few games, in which they have learned the importance of defense and beating bad teams, and will destroy Washington by 25+, as they should. I also feel that the Rockets are going to increase tbe streak to 7 before likely losing to the T-Wolves. Wizards: 80 Rockets: 105 Since the game will be decided by halftime, Hakeem will not have to play in the fourth quarter. He will score 14 points, grab 10 boards, and block 3 shots in only 21 minutes. Predictions? How will Hakeem do? ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
I want to be an optimist, but the Rocks seem to play to the level of the competition. They'll win by 5-8 pts. If he's not injured, Jahidi White (IMHO) usually plays Dream tough. And White is much better at home than on the road. Interesting that this is somewhat of a "home" game for Steve since he never had to return to Houston. ------------------ GATER
Gater, The game is here, not in D.C. ------------------ "We're not settling for just getting in the playoffs." "We want a higher seed. There's no doubt. Rockets 107 Wizards 87 The game will be somewhat tight in the first quarter before the Rocks start to run away with it through some major three- point shooting. Dream will be a hair less impressive as he was in the previous games, but will still have a rock-solid performance - 13 points, 8 boards, 2 blocks. As time expires Langhi will have a dunk opportunity but will refrain. ------------------ "I think the people who believed the world was flat were pretty stupid. You would think at least those living near mountains would know better." - P. Mesku
Although GATER makes a good point about the Rockets' tendency to "play down to the level of their competition", I think the Rockets will maintain their momentum and win this one going away. Rockets 106, Wizards 84 ------------------
One thing though, the Rockets may have underestimated the Clips, but LA has someserious talent. Who could Washington throw at us ? ------------------ "We don't have any plans. We just plan to win." Mack Brown
I'm sorry guys, but the party's over. Other than the Bulls, everyone is playing fairly. Washington aren't a sucky team. They have Juwan Howard playing like an All-Star, and Mitch Richmond and Strickland off the bench...Rebounding moster White, and explosive Rip Hamilton... It's not a joke, but I beleive Francis will have his own All-Star game....Mobley will also have an OK game...Shandon will play good, Mo will play good, Hakeem will pla good...not great, good...Bu Francis will put on a show... Rockets 101 Wizards 89 Francis 27pts, 9assts, 8rebs, 3stls, 2blk Mobley 18pts (40% FG) Mo 14pts Shan 12pts Hakeem 15pts, 10rebs, 3blks Howard will have 25, Richmond with 18 and Strickland with 12, and Hamilton with 18.. ------------------
Cat, seriously angry about his shameful 2Ball showing will "jack" up a whopping 99 shots in the first half alone as the Rockets pull away from the Wizards 50-48 at the half. Stevie Franchise will show up 3 days to late to enter the dunk contest but will win it anyway by making 2 dunks in a row en route to scoring 28 pts as the Rocks pull away 111 to 49. ------------------

Well, nobody knows how to roll over and quit quite like the Clippers of the East the Washington Bul. . .I mean Wizards. I wouldn't be surprise if we have 2 or 3 guys with triple doubles and it turns into a scrimmage. Quick and painless.
