This would be amazing but I don't see Chicago trading for Swaggy P or LA trading for Lawson when they have Clarkson/Russell and they would end up cutting Lawson or benching him. Minnesota doesn't get much return on their guys either.

Yeah, I see what your saying. But you could easily sub out the Wolves with another team and have the Rockets acquire Kevin Martin in a separate deal. You could even throw the T-Wolves out have the Rockets end up with Young and Williams along with Pau.

But this really works for the Lakers because they'd have massive amounts of cap space next year and they get a nice young piece in Shabazz at least in that deal. That's the sell. High draft picks (because they're already tanking) and a ton of cap space might entice a team who is hungry to spend money.

Minnesota gets T-Jones; who KG can mentor until he retires. They'd have Rubio/LaVine/Wiggins/Jones/KAT which is an AWESOME young core. They could even trade Brewer.

But like I said, Minny could easily be taken out of this scenario.

Houston Rockets Get: Eric Bledsoe, Markieff Morris, Hassan Whiteside
Sacramento Kings Get: Luol Deng, Chris Anderson
Phoenix Suns Get: Trevor Ariza, Kosta Koufas, Josh McRoberts, Terrance Jones
Miami Heat Get: Dwight Howard, Willey Cauley-Stein

This trade checks out on the ESPN trade machine and although the Heat would be projected to be -7, I still think a Bosh/Wade/Howard combo would work. Yeah its farfetched and wont ever happen, but I think if the Rockets could somehow snag Whiteside and get rid of Howard it would make it easier for Kevin Durant 2016.

Suns announce Eric Bledsoe will have surgery on torn meniscus on Tuesday. No timetable for return.

What would it take for us to get Jrue Holliday and/or Ryan Anderson. Two players we should absolutely push to get.

With the Bledsoe news and his injury history I wonder if Phoenix would want to kick the tires on Lawson.

Not for Knight they are keeping him. I mean Inwonder if we could swindle Morris, a pick an a guy like Goodwin, Warren or Tucker for Lawson and Brewer. Then try to trade Jones to BKN for Jack or something. I don't how if the salaries would even work.

Not sure the details but here we go:

    Incoming:

    Thaddeus Young
    Aaron Brooks
    cap filler

    Outgoing:

    KJ McDaniels
    Corey Brewer
    Ty Lawson
    TJones
    2nd rounder

    Rationale:

Seems like we are giving up a lot, but just really cashing in assets (TJones and McDaniels) at the expense of moving some players not performing nearly up to par. Also, Nets and Bulls aren't just going to give up those players.

We do this because AB can create for himself and others off the bench and can shoot the ball alongside Harden. Thaddeus Young is a versatile 3/4, veteran, who can play that poor man's Iguadala role. Make no mistake, this is a case for retooling the team midseason in order to have a chance at being a darkhorse contender.

    Bev/AB/Terry
    Harden/Thornton
    Ariza/Young
    DMo/Young/Capela
    Howard/Capela/DMo

    So much versatility.

And why would the Bulls do this because that's who Brooks plays for?

This Bledsoe thing created a possibility for things to move. They're 12-20 and that hurts us. If they were a little closer to the hunt it becomes more likely.

Even if knight or bledsoe or booker or even tj warren are moved they will not come here because we dont have good assets to trade for them.
Our best is ariza and hes too old for the suns.

I was thinking about a three way trade between the Bucks, Bulls and Rockets:

Rockets trade Dwight and T. Jones, and receive Greg Monroe and Taj Gibson. Rockets get two young bigs in exchange for guys who might not be here next year and don't appear to be a good fit anymore. there is obviously a problem with Dwight on this squad. Jones is looking better, but Gibson is at least a lateral move for the Rockets.

Bucks trade Monroe and Mayo and receive Dwight and T. Jones. Seems like the Bucks fans haven't been happy with Monroe, and Mayo is an expiring. Dwight might be a good fit under Jason Kidd's coaching. T. Jones should thrive.

Bulls trade Gibson for Mayo, the wing they are looking for.

....or maybe cut the Bulls out an keep Mayo ourselves?

AB is on a 1 year, $2 mil deal with the Bulls, I'd imagine they would want KJ McDaniels and maybe a second rounder.

Sure we are. That team is better than the one we currently have. Swapping out an undersized guard who plays crappy defense with an undersized guard who plays crappy defense and can shoot the ball and run an offense off the bench. Our wings certainly got better and more athletic.
