Does that mean Corey Sewer will be held accountable as well or will he continue to keep playing the guy who he is close personal friends with even though he plays like doesn't belong in the NBA. I hate to keep calling for coaches to be fired. Letting Adelman go was a big mistake, hiring Mchale was another big one and allowing Mchale's coaching staff to stay the entire season should be a firable offense. My pitchfork is starting to be directed towards Morey.
Not to be rude but this is stupid. It's the same coaching staff. Jb was McHale s mentor even before Houston. What you said would make sense if it were a new coach and staff.
The effort is still inconsistent. JB and the players goofed at the end but JB isn't a chitty coach, he's been around pro basketball all of his life. He just needs more time as he took over a very leaky ship. We aren't getting a new a coach this season.
Lol... Considering how loose McHale ran the team, I'm not sure how can you make the control freak GM argument.
He did not have to control. McHale just willingly followed his philosophy of bricking from distance or force pushing towards the hoop.
Blame coach for this loss. They had a comfortable lead until the final 2:00 of the first half. You can't squander a 10 point lead that fast without calling a timeout, or interrupt the rhythm. He could of subsitute player in and out to slow down the tempo. He just sat, or just watched like a fan.
Texans took Rahim Moore out of the lineup and they turned their season around...JB might be your turn to take Brewer out of the lineup and insert Thornton. Thornton makes 1 mill this year and Brewer makes 8 mill...that's probably the big reason we haven't seen this happen yet but JB should take note of Billy O did for his team removing Moore
Moronic not to call a time out on JB's behalf but just as moronic for Ariza and his teammates not to call a time out after the rebound and after the lack of inbound options. How do players who have played the game their entire lives not take the most simplest common sense option?
JB is an improvement over McHale, in that he's got a higher ceiling. He seems to notice the mistakes and now is fumbling his way through his rookie year as a coaching trying to figure out how to fix them. It just sucks having to deal with another element on the team holding us back. A coach learning on the job is not the ideal situation for a championship contender, even if that coach has a lot of potential. (But hey it worked out last year for those Warriors, just like health and their bench signings and their shooting and pretty much everything that you would think depends a lot on luck.) I'm more ok with Bickerstaff than I was with McHale who I thought would never ever bring anything positive to the table in terms of winning the chess match against the opposing coach.
