Maybe 40 years ago GMs waited to see on TV on christmas to judge a player and trade for him or not. Or maybe Doc still does.
All GM watch all other 29 teams games. t.m. do nothing and spend 16 hours per day just to watch all games.. In fact GM's sometimes don't watch even his own team. So Christmas is good time to shine
wow Do you honesty think that the team bases their decisions on one GM watching christmas matches? Let me introduce you on the concept of scouts.
Give me the rate of players being put on the bench vs. gave more playing time? Yes. Scouts doing their job, but the trigger usually are pushed after good games. It's also fans factor. How do you feel about player get from trades who's haven't played in a while vs. he's playing...
fans factor? I guarantee you not. GMs who are not clowns dont' give a damn about what the fans think. And most of them may be imbeciles but they are not clowns. Perhaps Vivek only cares about the fans factor before doing a trade. You have a very very naive idea about how the FOs work.
I'd like to see a K-Mart reunion. Good scorer. Good shooter. We need someone that can score off the bench. He fits the mold. Swaggy P could probably be had for cheaper though
If he wants to come here , he can possibly be had in the end of the deadline (if not traded by then) for a good second rounder. The bad is that next year is a player option and doesn't look like he will opt out.
Not even MOREY could pull that off - that's a double negative. You'd have to throw in the dollar.
I saw this on another board... Koby For Lawson, Brewer and McDanail Howard would $h!t & walk at season's end (with him off the books plus the cap going up ---> retool), Harden would fell what it like to frozen out of plays and MAYBE grow from the experience. We should let him be a player/coach just to see what happens ---> KMH is gone and that is what we are doing now anyway. I just gave you the worst that could happen. The best maybe a ring from an old BUT HOF'er that teaches heart to Harden while playing point gaurd. One thing for sure national TV would not miss a game. Just random thoughts from your fat friend.
Just read a trade in SB Nation pushing a trade involving Hou, Brooklyn and New Orleans. Here's my twist to that proposed trade: Lawson, Brewer to Brooklyn J Johnson, T.Jones to New Orleans(Maybe throw in Dekker) R.Anderson and E. Gordon to Houston Rockets Starters Howard Anderson Ariza Gordon Harden Bench: Capela D.Mo/Harrell KJ McDaniels Thornton/Terry Beverly/Terry Brooklyn gets core player in Lawson and dump expiring contract of Johnson New Orleans gets needed SF in Johnson and younger backup PF in T.Jones Rod get a lineup full of shooters. Harden is the PG anyway and needs a catch and shoot guy next to him in Gordon. Anderson speaks for himself as the stretch 4 so badly needed. Not much defense to be played with this lineup but opposing teams will have to pick their poison on who they will rotate off of each night. Thoughts?
Just shake it up something has to be done if Morey plans on salvaging this year. Break up clicks, trade friends, bench players do something other than what you have been. It's becoming predictable to the point us fans know when the team will win or lose.
