Does anyone know where to find Brook's stats for the Rockets and then the stats for the first year after he went to Dallas. Didn't he actually have one of the best years of his career his first year in Dallas? I always study what makes a player have a break out year (e.i. a change in how the player is used, what responsibilities where given to him or releaved from him, change in lifestyle, simple maturation, or if there is a change in court personnel that clicked with his game [stockton - Malone], besides working on a specific shot). Scott's year was one that stuck out in my mind. Two years ago, Kenny Thomas. Eddie Griffin's second year... lol.. just joking. The challenge put on Shaq by Jackson the first year they won. Starbury's big year (still has a bad attitude but seemed to study the game last year). J. Oniel's break out year. I play constantly at the Houstonian but I want to be a coach and that's the type of stuff that interests me. Any body have examples of players, role players or stars, that had great years because of major reasons. Please give the reason too IYHO. BTW, I hate the offseason!! I'd rather study players as they play!! Subliminal Shot

I was in a league there for long while. They normally play on Wednesdays. But I play late in the evenings, and from there, I normally go to either 24 hour fitness at Jones and 1960 or Cypresswood park. 22 - 5'11" - white guy running the point... I play much better at the 2 for scoring but I'm too light. But serious guys, offer your opinion on what gets a player going. I appreciate it. PS, anyone up for setting up a "CC.net" game at Cypresswood?
You're playing all over the place. I used to play at the Houstonian in the evenings about a year and a half ago, then on Saturday mornings about a year ago, but alas, I've been working too hard since and rarely get to play anymore. Now Cypresswood, I used to play there when I was 15-16, about 8 years ago. I remember when the Rockets were playing the Suns in the playoffs and they were down 3-1, I was so mad I decided not to watch and go play at Cypresswood instead.
LOL Well, I'm 22 so I'm not sure about 8 years ago, but I remember that about 6 years ago, Cypresswood was THE spot. Dunkers from everywhere! It's getting great again. They rebuilt a ton of stuff at the beginning of the year and they keep it up great. BTW, do you remember an older spanish guy name Garcia that plays there every single day for about the past 15 years? He's 51 now and I still haven't seen him miss a day! lol So are you up for playing at cypresswood if I'm able to put something together? I started a thread about it.
What's funny is when I read the title of this thread I thought someone was doing a 'build-a-character' or something from one of the PS2 or XBOX basketball games. I was thinking...Why Scott Brooks? LOL
