What do you expect when you have two extremely high usage stars, one pass blind black hole and a bunch of players relegated to bodies? And a bad coach?
Not ball movement is the answer.

And Pass/Assist ratio doesn't mean much, since their total passes are almost 100 less than the no.1.
They still have godawful ball movement.

On the other hand there is the Sixers and the Jazz the epitome of meaningless passes that lead to nothing. Both teams without proper point guards..no coincidence.

It's gonna take at least the entire regular season for OKC to transition from playground ball to Billy Donovan's style of making the defense work.

They are a work in progress that won't be championship ready until next season IMO.

Volume stats usually aren't good indicators.

    Check this out:

Miami and Toronto are 1 and 2 in the least amount of FGA/gm, yet both have .610 winning %.

    Maybe we should shoot less!!

This got me curious as to how they're calculating this. These stats have to be wrong:

    http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/passing/?sort=PASSES_MADE&dir=1

Rondo has 11.3 assists per game which means he'd have 283 assists, all of which are passes, but he leads the league with 76.4 passes made.

This is a great stat to keep track of, but I highly doubt that anyone is actually doing it.

Who needs to pass when you've got a couple of guys who can kill their defender 1 on 1

Passing is my favorite thing about basketball. I don't understand when people play selfish basketball, only bad people in real life do that.
