True, but I would like to think that I would make sure that I totally understand it and verify it if necessary before making that announcement. Producers should share the blame for sure for not running through the results with him. The guy is a comedian and talk/game show host, I'm sure he's never hosted a pageant before.
I think breh got confused with the "1st" and didn't bother to read the "runner up" part. That or he doesn't know what runner up meant.
It clearly says Miss Universe is Philippines…there is no way anyone should look at that and think Colombia was the winner while Philippines was the first runner up. I don't think anyone should expect the producers to go over that with any host…given that it's just a "read off the card" situation.

But why isn't it just underlined in that same column like the others. On first glace the Miss Universe 2015 just looks like a title on the card way off in the bottom right, not part of the list of winners that starts in the top left hand corner. I agree he should have been able to figure it out, but I'm not sure if this card could have been more poorly constructed unless someone was intentionally trying to cause confusion.
All this is going to do is make the girl from Columbia more famous. Honestly, if you are going to lose, this would be the way you want to do it.
