The relationship between the new characters felt so forced sometimes. I do like Kylo Ren though. I don't want to say too much, wait for everyone to see it so we can discuss spoils.

She sure is. Great butt on her too.

That final shot with Luke was magical.

Felt like a more wasted opportunity if you ask me. Hopefully we get to see him a lot more in episode 8. Glad people like episode VII, I thought it was pretty okay.
How about that scene with Han Solo and Kylo Ren? Doesn't that feel force? Come on can you guys give me that?

Did you guys get to see the X-Men or Batman v Superman trailers?

Cinemark took 10 mintues to show a whole clip of Zootopia and crappy movies like Gods of Egypt and the 5th Wave.

Thought it was great, though with some noticeable flaws. It gets a 8/10 for me and I am totally excited to see how the new trilogy unfolds.

    The Good...

    1. Abrams and Co. struck gold with Daisy Ridley. She was easily the best part of this movie, and I'm glad she's the new Jedi and not Finn. That was unexpected and I'm definitely excited to see how her career blows up after this.

    2. I was pleasantly surprised at how much Han Solo was used in the movie. Definitely thought he was just going to be a quick cameo.

    3. I liked Kylo Ren and the First Order, as well as the mystery behind Snoke. Ren killing Han really sold him as a convincing villain, which is something the prequels severely lacked.

    The bad...

    1. Let's be real...it was a remake of A New Hope. That was very disappointing.

    2. As some have said...kind of unbelievable that these kids would be able to hang with Kylo Ren without having ever picked up a lightsaber. They made it somewhat okay when Snoke made it clear that Ren hadn't completed his training, but still seemed kinda lame.

Well, did it have an "Indiana Jones" feel to it?

I'm not sure when I will see it but I'm not in a particular hurry. I assume sometime over the holiday break. I was thinking of trying to catch it at the Omni Imax in Fort Worth...which was selected as one of the top 7 theaters to see it in the nation apparently.

Oh...and is everyone seeing it and recommending it in 3D versus 2D?

3D iMax was cool. I did get a small headache near the end though.

Since the EU is non canon

They've obviously already tied things in with the original trilogy, but if they make Snoak Plageuis, it would be such a subtle tie in with the prequels, which is exactly how they should handle it.

Great movie. Does what the newer ones should have done. And I liked the newer ones. This is by far the best sequel to star wars trilogy.

Probably due to a frenetic pace, introducing new characters and bringing back the old; didn't allow for too much time in the getting-to-know-you phase.

But of the newbies, although I liked them all, I really liked Daisy Ridley. A real find.

You're kinda fitting into that 5% that voted thumbs down on Rotten Tomatoes. I wasn't so bothered by how it followed the storyline of "New Hope", if simply because I liked Ridley, Boyega, and Driver so much.

It's very good. Better than the bizarre "first" trilogy, without a doubt. I have some problems with it, but I'm seeing it again on Sunday, so I'll hold off on a rating and spoilered comments until after a second viewing.

Adam Driver, John Boyega and BB-8 stole the show.

Great movie, lot of fun, and yes it crushes the prequels. There was actual human emotion. 8/10

As people have mentioned, the fact that Rei could defeat him this quick, and even pull the jedi mind trick with no training bothered me a lot. And yes it was a glorified remake of A New Hope. That didn't bother me much for the first movie, but moving forward they need to walk their own path.
