They already have a top tier scorer in Thornton of the bench. But JB doesnt seem to like him as he hardly played against SAC the last game?!

    "different team than last year"

I wish I could my finger on what that difference is

    - Role players performance?
    - More DMo?
    - Josh Smith?
    - Mindset and effort?
    - McHale's hand-clapping and "C'mon guys"?

Maybe Thornton is a throw-in on an as-yet-unmentioned trade and his scoring off the bench needs to be replaced.....? Hence cyberx's message? Hence the otherwise inexplicably late appearance against Sacramento?

That's the million dollar question. Hopefully our next coach, if not JB, has the answer.

But to me its more mindset and effort. Harden clearly didn't use his poor end to the playoffs as motivation, seems to have coasted through the offseason. Brewer got paid and isn't playing with an edge. Beverly got his first big contract. And the team as a whole does not seem to be hungry.

Um, Marcus Thornton and even Lawson if we can integrate him.

Lets get a 4 that can defend, rebound, and hit a J.

I think you tie yourself to DMo, and Capela and let Howard go.....he is no longer a difference maker.

We need a PF whst the hell is wrong with morey.

A Pf that can rebound and play defense would be nice.

yes he is, on defence and would be on offence if they would give him the ball

people just easily blame him, but his team mates are not getting him the ball

Capela and Howard are great together but the real problem has been our bench, they just don't score enough points

Surely you know from the context of the rest of his post that he wasn't genuinely saying Harden should be DPOY. Yes? Because I saw your signature in another thread & almost passed out until I clicked to see what was actually said lol.

He's been our best player in the playoffs, and it's not even close. We don't do what we did last year without him. I'll take 12 / 12 / 2 from him in the regular season if he continues beasting in the playoffs.

The argument for trading Howard is that you take a step back, maintain flexibility moving forward and mitigate the real risk that he goes, or requires a long, dangerous contract given his health. It is silly to think that *this* team would be better on the floor without him, though. That's just a DD fantasy.

As many have said - Thornton is our scorer off the bench... only prob is JB only giving him 6 minutes or playing him during garbage time...

go back and look at that thread about all the guys we've waived who have excelled elsewhere... we don't utilize our full cast - and then james is crying about playing too many minutes... What's it gonna take to get a coach that understands a proper rotation?

When JB plugged Capella into the starting lineup, I was optimistic.. figured he was trying to get minutes for a budding talent - even out of position... but its gotten crappy again..

And that's why you trade him. To get something, you have to give something. Everyone hopes to trade nothing for something...Morey magic. Howard's value is falling. You want to keep him until the end?? OK.

I only wanted to give him two years, and then trade him if it doesn't work. The two years has happened. This is the third year.

    Trade him, now.

Have you seen Dwight post up? Hell he can't even catch the ball most times and when the other team fouls him he can't make his shots. You guys are praying for playoff Dwight way too early in the regular season.

You can't depend on Dmo being here next season either. He is a free agent and if another team offers him max, I seriously doubt Morey will match.

Morey should be BOLD! Trade Harden, his signature piece that his approach works.

Because he won't change. Then ultimately if we don't let him go, he will still leave us. By then we will be an even more broken franchise.

That's reading people, not reading the stats.
