The trade was completely made up by Sheridan. It was a scenario he came up with based on another rumor (Heat trying to swap Whiteside for Cousins). But lets be realistic here. There is a clear disconnect between most of our roster and Dwight Howard. So is it really out of the realm that we could be considering trading him when he might just walk anyways? We could get a nice piece or two out of him especially out of that large contract. I don't think we are heavily considering it, but the idea has to at least be knocking on the door. Miami doesn't fit the mold to me. If we trade Howard, its to a place where, like Sheridan said, he is the ultimate alpha dog. No team wants to trade for a 30+ year old with a big contract for him to walk in a few months. Washington, Atlanta, Chicago, and even Boston make sense to me.
national radio people picking up on this now. he's the only one that's brought in the playoffs through an entire series.
SIGH...Sheridan should be the equivalent to the word liar in bball forums. I can't believe that people still fall for his crap.
By moving Dwight, we eliminate the massive downside risk of injury as well. When down low the offense runs through DMo...We don't need to spend all that jack on a guy that we need to D up and collect the garbage. Our flow will improve greatly..... And..I know you love the word...But, we'll have capspace FLEXIBILITY.
Can we trade Bickerstaff for Spoelstra as well! Trading Howard isn't going to solve the REAL problem!!!! ....... ....... .......
PLOWMAN! How's it going? Your speaking as if the F.O is going to do it. You hearing anything? I agree with what you're saying though..
What do any of you see to suggest that Dwight is unhappy? what does Sheridan see? Honestly this is just made up BS thrown against the wall to see if it sticks. He looks pretty happy to me. I am sure there is frustration with everyone due to the productivity as a team, but Dwight is playing hard from what I see. If we are bad defensively right now, can you imagine without Dwight? LOL makes no sense. close it up, nothing to see here.
Last night in the fourth, Gary Harris was one-on-one in the paint against Dwight and Dwight just looked at him with his hands at his side. Didn't look like he cared at all.
I feel this is fake news. This is a team sport no one should be first fiddle why has this news spread so much
Three team trade, Dwight to Miami, Whiteside to Sacramento and Cousins to Houston. Come on Morey do it
There is a huge difference between trading for Cousins and trading for Howard. Age Expiring contract Injury history I hate to burst people's bubbles, but there is a sub zero chance that Miami trades Justice Winslow for Dwight Howard. It is not going to happen.
Why wouldn't Miami just take Cousins for themselves? I guess with an aging core you want to win now, but with DH being a free agent after this year, I don't see Miami giving up pieces that would be worth Cousins, just for a one year rental.
Dwight's value, just like his stats, keeps declining. Now that the cat's out of the bag (and this rumor is a controlled leak), I think Dwight is gone and well before the deadline. Everything revolves around Harden. Might as well put that on a billboard outside TC.
