Well, I don't wanna get ahead of myself but the manager said it's mine, pending any difficulties or objections coming up in the "reference check". Plus he told me to come in Thursday night for orientation. I've been stuck in a job I hated at a telemarketing place where we raised funds for police, fire, etc. Even though I was good at it and was earning 8-9 dollars an hour because of my production rate, it was one hell of a tiring boring job. Now it looks like I'll be a proud employee of Express For Men, formerly Structure. Finally my 5 months of lookin for work have come to an end. I wish all of you who are stil in the search for jobs, good luck.
WHAT A RELIEF!!!! I felt like I was in it with you the whole time.......I want some employee discounts!!!!!
Congrats on the new job... Do those donations to the police, fire dept., etc. that you mentioned really go to those guys, or is it a telemarketing scam...
Congratulations and good luck! (BTW, if you're in Houston, you guys called me for years...I'm not kidding.)
I got a job too. Express for men, heh. My brother stopped buying jeans from there when they changed the name. One of my bestfriends in highschool worked there too. He was very... liking of the men part.
****, I can't believe Gadzooks is going all shemale. At least I bought many $5 clearance shirts. I should get a job...
Congrats!!!! But, are you taking a paycut? I quit the apt. locating thing for now, just wasn't busy. I'm working as a courier now and have been making over 100 bucks a day, but alot of mileage on the vehicle. Pretty easy though. It's a means to an end for now, there just isn't anything out there and I feel fortunate getting this job.
YES! One less phone call I will receive during dinner. I told you to QUIT CALLING MY HOME, BUT NOOOO! You kept bugging me and buggin me! Now I will come to your store, unfold every shirt, try on every pair of jeans, leave the dressing room a complete mess, and carry around a ton of clothes making you think you're about to have a monumental sale, only to walk out with one pair of $5 socks! Mwuahahahaha!! J/K. Congrats. When I was in college I worked at DJs in Baybrook. Met tons of girls and had a damn good time. Hope it works out for you.
lol thanks for the hearty congrats. To address a few "issues": 1.Express...eh....very "liking" of the men part........ Oh believe me buddy, I dont' swing taht way, though 75% of the people that work there do. I'm just hot, and can't help it. 2. Telemarketing.....a community service......or a cleverly planned scheme? Well first of all, I work in a suburb of Chicago office, but we call Illinois, Florida, New York, and Wisconsin. From the "word I heard" the organizations sign an agreement with the company, which agrees to pay them a certain percentage. I think only 7-10% goes to the REAL people. 3.Taking a paycut? Well, sorta. The thing with telemarketing is that it was 6.50 base, plus .50 bonus if u work 20+ hours. And, their was a payscale. Now if you were bringin in say 70-80 $in donation per hour, u'd prolly get 7.50-8 on ur paycheck. I was bringin in 80-90 so I was getting aroudn 8.50-9. At express, the base pay is 8. That's all for now, good luck to ya'll still searchin.
I had initially decided that I had 'graduated' from shopping at Structure, instead choosing to shop at more upscale, traditional places like Brooks Brothers and Lord & Taylor. Then, the other day I walked into Express Men in the Galleria, unaware that they used to be called Structure. Bear in mind that I am always looking for unique ways to increase my sex appeal. I found an excellent pair of "precision fit" low rise boot cut jeans with the worn streaking-effect on the front. They are most certainly a valued piece of the Trader_Jorge casual collection. The store has some cool stuff, good luck with your job.
Congrats dude. Jobs are no fun though. I just got one in DC. If you see a little grey Tercel speeding along 146 on Friday afternoon, thats me going off to the rest of my life in the nations capital.
Congratulations on the job. Anybody wanna hook me up with a job up here in Austin? I've been looking for a job for a couple years now.... I guess that 2.5 years experience working in a hardware store and 6 hours of availability every single day isnt good enough to work at a home depot up here. Bastards.
Hey, T_J, I'd love to nominate you for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Do you have an extra special dates planned in your near-distant future? ... or maybe MannyRamirez?
Carson couldn't put me in anything better that what I've already assembled. My couture is without peer.
