I think Jim Peterson does Radio for the T'wolves now. I had a friend of mine tell me that this weekend. My friend lives in Minnesota and said that he called in and asked Jim to talk about his favorite Rockets moment....he said the Ralph Sampson buzzer beater versus the Lakers.

Tough call. I would say either Mario Elie or OT. They were vital in our '93-94 run and who can ever forget the "Kiss of Death" shot in Phoenix the year after. Certainly not poor Joe Kleine....

Having a OT-like presence down low could do wonders for this team.

Matt Bullard was the man, Francis's assist numbers haven't been as high since "AIR" Bullard left.

I really think that Othella Harrington could be added to the list when he was playing here the guy was a work horse. He did all the dirty stuff down under the boards and scored on occasion.

But by far it wuold have to be Mario Elie topping the list becuase of what he did for us when it counted.

A-men to that. I would say that he inspires many "shorter" dudes out there. Spudd Webb and Mugsy bogues probably insipired Scottie.

Mario was never underrated. A lot of people (& players) give him his due props. Bullard was underrated. He came in, gave his few minutes & got good points for the minutes he played. When he wanted to, he could even drive the lane. He was a great perimeter threat during the Hakeem years. I think he ranks near the top in the Rockets Org. for 3pt percentage. He never complained about his role, and never got much respect for his 3pt shooting ability.

Yes, I do. Played like a madman in '86 and really stepped up.

I was doing some poking around, and here are some interesting facts about Bobby Joe Reid:

Holds the record for assists in a quarter in the Finals with 8. ('86)

Holds the record for assists in a half in the Finals with 10. ('86)

Shares the record for offensive rebounds in a game in the Finals with Moses Malone. ('81)

Bull was OK but you talk as if he was an all-star!
He had decent (not great) 3 pt percentage with the Rockets because he was wide open all the time.
His stat the year he played without Hakeem was not so great!!

Ha, Tierre Brown and Jason Collier......funny.

The most underrated role player last year was either Juaquin Hawkins or Glen Rice. Glen Rice isn't underrated in his prime, of course, but now he is underated and can still hit the threes and be a mentor to the team. I don't know much of the Rockets past, as I wasn't a fan until about 5 years ago.
