Melo. He's probably the worst out of that group in team basketball but he's the only complete scorer. He can score from outside, from inside, can handle, and can post (high post and low post).

I would actually say Klay Thompson would perform better than Steph in a 1on1 tournament.

A healthy lebron or paul george.
Paul george may not be flashy like the rest but when healthy he is truly one of the best defenders. He has improved his offensive game to stand with the rest of the elite players.
Lebron is just a freak of nature to this day. A body that could hold its own against guys like Karl Malone, and the offensive game of the greatest to ever play the game. He also rebounds and defends with the best of them. The killer instinct and sheer determination is also a factor. We saw last year what a one man army can do against Goldenstate.

I'm not sure why people are picking Steph or Harden. Sure, they're great offensive players, but defense is half of 1-on-1. And while Steph is probably one of the best shooters of all time, he's not strong or quick enough to guard another offensive talent and he wouldn't get all the illegal moving screens to free him up for an open shot.

Melo is an elite offensive talent, too, but he's never been a great 1-on-1 defender.

    Lebron
    Anthony Davis
    Carmelo Anthony
    DeMarcus Cousins

Hakeem would destroy all of them.

This is 1 on 1 streetball style? Like scoring by 1s and 2s scoring to 11 or 15? I'd say if Curry has to be up there.

A guy like DeMarcus Cousins has to either give up wide open 3s to Curry or risk getting driven by. Sure he could body check Curry and just reset the ball back but I'm assuming similar to 1 on 1 tournament rules, the offensive player would get FTs after a certain number of fouls.

Otherwise, Curry wins if he makes 6 semi-open threes in a row. This a guy who made 77 threes in a row!

Think LeBron and KD would be favourites because of their overall package, a guy like Curry would have it much harder in a 1on1 match where his opponent can use all his concentration and size on guarding him. Even if Curry manages to somehow drive past they'll still recover quickly and contest the shot with their athleticism and size advantage.

He also wouldn't be able to defend them one bit.

Davis? Not sure his shot in tightly guarded 1on1 situations is good enough, and he doesn't have a real size advantage vs someone like KD.

    LeBron easily.

I think even if Steph or KD got the ball, LeBron could just bump them and throw them off.

Let's see curry get that level of separation without a screen.

I'd give the edge to Durant

Durant ALL THE WAY. Paul George would be a close second. Lebron has not shown that he can be a solid 1-on-1 player. Please keep in mind that 1-on-1 is a completely different style of basketball that the real thing. Just because you could be good in one doesn't mean you are equally as good in the other.

    Durant will kill it.

    Lebron.

He can lock up just about any one of those players while none can guard him aside from George and Kwahi. The problem with Kwahi is that he is not that great offensively individually as he is with a team.

Durant vs Lebron would be the finals.
