It's nuts. I've never seen anything like it. The offense and defense has to change. The question is, can we make changes with Harden leading this team? Harden causes the offense to bog down. And Harden's lack of effort on defense doesn't inspire his teammates to play harder. We got problems.
So what they only had 5 freaking wins, I don't care if some of their wins were close. You can't put a ribbon on a turd.
"The Rockets still have a team that can be elite if they get their mentality right." - Calvin Sorry Calvin but LOLOLOLOLOL  "As a teammate, if I have to motivate you to do your job, I don't want to be your teammate. ... Rockets slept walk through the first half, thinking Brooklyn would fall apart or they could squeak out a win. You have to set a tone. Rockets don't do that. They fight back but why go through the aggrevation?"
Dwight played like garbage but he was instrumental in the comeback. played like playoff Dwight for 4 minutes. HAREN IS A ****ING CHUMP!! HAREN POINT SHAVING!!!!!
He can't catch bounce passes, But he can jump 5 feet in the air and catch ridiculous lobs. It's kind of sad in a way.
Sorry, but there's no moral victory here. The Rockets shouldn't be sleeping on anyone when they're under .500 over a quarter of the way through the season, especially when one of their losses was to the Nets(at home and back when Brooklyn was winless). This is at best a 7th or 8th seed at the rate we're going. And that's only because the West isn't that good this season compared to prior years. And BTW, that's probably overly optimistic. The Rockets have p-ssed away so many games already against easy opponents that they're far more likely to wind up in the lottery than the postseason given how much tougher the schedule is going to get in about 2 1/2 weeks.
Harden & Howard gave more effort in the club last night than they did tonight against the Nets. They both need to hand their paychecks for tonight's game to Marcus Thornton, he almost single-handedly won us this game.
It's not in him, that killer desire to be at least respectable every game on both ends of the floor just is not in him. Great player, but not a championship cornerstone mentally and effort wise.
While you're right, I don't expect Dwight to carry this team. Never did, never will. Harden on the other hand, is our "star". What the **** was that tonight?? I am DIE HARD fan and I'm starting to lose respect for Harden. It's terrible
It is not only aboud discipline. Brewer and Harden have awful defensive technique. They try to go for the steal even at 1on1 D, that's a disgrace of defense. 70-80% of time they are involved in a play the offense creates an advantage. Then Terry, Ty, Jones... they are not even average defenders nowadays. It's not only about discipline.
He also allowed Lopez to completely go off and had an extremely hard time grabbing a rebound. He was awful. Just like Harden he was a MAJOR reason we lost. Again
They're 10-12. This isn't going to drastically change. What's their to overreact to anymore? They're a mediocre basketball team. Even their recent win streak, what have they done? Close wins against the 76ers, Mavs, Pelicans, and Kings? Congratulations?
