Rudy T to be inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame

    Just saw this on 610s website:

    Rudy Tomjonavich, Carroll Dawson, Elvin Bethea, and Bill Yeoman were among seven selected to be inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame next February.

    Congrats to everyone, especially Rudy!

    Finally, Rudy Tomjonavich gets some well deserved accolades. Rudy T. may not have been the brightest or most imaginative coach around, but he brought enthusiasm to the game and lit a fire under the Rockets. He's the only coach in Texas to win two consecutive NBA titles as well.

    I am very happy with Jeff Van Gundy as coach, but like Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler , and Mario Elie , we can never forget who brought Rockets fans the most joy.
