Well who wouldn't love him when he is aggressive and looks like he half cares? I do not even have to get into his negatives because the list wont end, but it all has to do with EFFORT!
Don't listen to negativity. Stay in safe place. James is super cool. He cares, he defends, he's more into team accolades then personal,..
Even with the horrible start of the season, Harden is in (or near) top 10 in almost all the relevant categories (Scoring, Assists, PER, Win Shares, etc.) It sickens me that some people just don't appreciate how great of a player this dude is. Even when he is not playing up to his maximum potential and has been disappointing from time to time, he's still a top 10 player, which tells you that he could easily be in top 5 if he picks up his game. Harden is a perennial MVP-caliber player and Houston is lucky to have him.
Whatever he does on offense, is almost negated by his lacklusted defense. Add in the fact that he doesn't get his freebies in the postseason, becomes frustrated and lays a turd...and you have your answer.
