As much as everyone complains about this guy, we don't have anyone else to take his minutes in the rotation. Harrell looks like he's a year away from contributing. How do you trade Jones and get back a better PF? Jones can't have much value.

Terrence Jones is currently +17, the highest Rocket.

I remember we thought we could pull of Farid / John Henson or Illysova for Jones.

Today I think all we can get back in a deal for him is Miles Plumlee or Tyler Zeller.

He's every bit as bad on D as Harden.

When teams try to play p&r, and our defenders are him and Harden I cringe.

If we could get Tyler Zeller that would be highway robbery for us.

I have been one of TJ's biggest critics , but he played very well for us tonight . +/- aside , he was the key for us tonight . This might have been his best game as a rocket. He played well in a fashion that is very repeatable so hopefully he can continue playing this way.

I hate his guts, but he did pretty well tonight..........

Maybe he is worth more than a bag of chips, perhaps something like a pizza or a burrito instead

It's just that he hasn't developed since college, if he was still a rookie, we'd look at his performance being awesome.

    He played well tonight???

Was this 17 points, 9 rebounds on 7-12 shooting in 32 minutes tonight not pleasing enough for you? He had 5 turnovers, that sucked, but he actually defended Dirk pretty well, rebounded very well and finished very efficiently with his much needed 17 points to help us win this close game.

You guys are really getting pathetic with this. If anyone who hasn't been wearing Hollic shades where watching the games, they would see Jones has easily been one of the Rockets top performers this season.

Yes he has had bad games, yes he has been terrible defensively during stretches, yes he has missed shots he should make and has made bad turnovers... BUT guess what??? You can say the same about every signke other Rocket outside of Capela and maybe Howard.

So why single him out? Out of everybody sucking it up, after he has good games, even though he is statistically one of the best performers, even though he is just a 18th overall pick on a 2.5 nill expiring contract.. he finds a way to get ****ted on by clutchfans.

On top of all that, this is a ****ing Rockets forum, why is there a thread saying a player who played well tonight sucks after a WIN? Harrell sucked tonight too, there's nobody to replace his minutes, his rebounded was MUCH needed.

If we should be outraged about anything, it should be why Brewer, who played awful again, couldnt shoot, got burned in defense, who got 4 straight off ball fouls in the 4th to put the mavs into the bonus got 26 minutes, while Thornton only got 6, and Terry who was playing well only got 12, hell Lawson looked good tonight I'd rather us do small ball backourt with Lawson/Bev/Harden then play Brewer 26 minutes

Have you seen how many of his shots get blocked? For a 6'9 PF? I could play in the NBA and have less shots blocked.

For all his faults, he is still the best option at PF on the team. Believe it or not.

I think it's pretty obvious he's lost some of his athleticism. He doesn't play above the rim much any more.

The first two seasons .181 of his FGA were dunks. Since the nerve injury: .100.

His finishing near the rim is not nearly as good as it was. His rebounding-% is down. His block-% is down. When was the last time you saw him block a jump shot, something that was a recurring thing before the injuries?

If he can't regain his athleticism, he has got to develop some skills to compensate. And that really hasn't happened.
