I say we clear up some cap space and try to make a run at Hedo Turkoglu next year, im guessing thats when he is an FA... well anyways this guy is going to be great in the NBA, and i think if boki dont leave to the expectations this guy would be a great SF.... so enough said..

I would also love to make a run at Mehmet Okur, a real good player IMO

According to RealGM, he's a RFA, so we'd have to outbid SA if they want him badly enough. Don't know their situation enough to say whether or not they will keep him.

I guess he would be ok. I think Boki could possibly be like him or better, though. Depends on how things work this season.

I dont think they will try to match on him simply becuz of RUMORS that have been going around about SA clearing space for 2004-2005 for the TMAC Sweepstakes... Just rumors though.. most of them = stupid

I believe SA will have plenty of cap room next year, so they'd be able to match any offer for Hedo without feeling too bad about it. I don't think they'd want to give him up either, with Bowen aging and SJax heading to another team.

His all around game would be a nice addition to the team, but didn't you hear? We're signing Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant next year! Silly!

He didn't even mention the trade of Moochie for the #1 pick next year plus filler. Then we get that 7'6 Russian guy.

7'6 twin towers, KG, Kobe, and SF. Eh...it is ok, but needs some tweaking.

The Spurs do not have a lot of extra future capspace and may need the money for Manu who will be an URFA, that is why they have not signed S. Jackson and may not offer more than a 1 year deal to him.

I think the Spurs will have a wait and see attitude regarding Hedo (see if they really want him long term). Of course we or another team could force their hand by offering the MLE as soon as possible next offseason--that might force them to choose between matching Hedo or having enough money to sign/match Manu.

As for the Rockets--forget trying to get capspace to be able to offer a contract greater than the MLE to Hedo or anyone. With Francis max contract, other big long term contracts, and Yao's soon (06-07?) to be max contract it is all but an impossibility until like 9-10 years from now (2nd time Yao will be a FA) unless EG and Boki turn into complete busts.

So everyone should get the idea we can get significantly under the cap by not resigning players or trading a couple players completely out of your head.
