How bout we don't trade this year? I mean we still have some things going for us, new arena, young players, Glenn Rice's contract expiring next season..why not just try to keep the nucleus together? The only players I would be willing to trade owuld be Moochie (ridiculousy large contract) and Mobley (takes way to many shots from teammates)..

I wouldn't even be willing to trade them given that they will be playing within a system and not in the free-for-all that was Rudy's offensive set.

    NO TRADES ACCEPTED

At least not until we find out what JVG can do with the guys we have.

Agreed with the possible exception of the trade posted in another thread where we get SAR & LaFrenz. That one intrigues me!

Ditto. If the silly trade threads were to disappear, where would we post all the smart ass responses, obscure movie quotes and bizarre pictures that taunt the threadstarters? Hell, I always click on the trade threads first. :D

But seriously, as crazy as this bbs went after the JVG hiring, it seems like a week later everyone just sort of forgot. Just a reminder, we have a new coach! Why trade anyone until we see what JVG can do with them?

In conclusion, NO to trades and YES to trade threads.

Count me in on the no-trade band wagon...I learned from experience that trading your older firearms for newer (supposedly better) firearms, doesn't always make you feel better the next day... A lesson learned. Let' do this NO TRADE!

Exactly! This team will be a really different with a whole new kind of coaching, give them a chance. They'll kick butt and the trade threads will die down.

    NO TRADES!

Why SHOULDN'T we trade if the trade improves us?

Screw chemistry. Pike and Griffin are 2 new players, Boki will be new to the rotation, and we have a new coach who is the exact opposite of Rudy T.

Don't sit here and tell me about ruining chemistry.

This way at least we can see if van gundy can do what rudy couldnt do with basically the same players, although the team should be better just from having another year of experiance. If van gundy is a better coach then I expect for the rockets to be a much better team.
