Looks like we are going to have to bomb a country in the Middle East.

In 1950 it took independent corroboration and approval from an editor before anything went to print, and the paper only came out once a day so there was little need to rush. It's the instant gratification of clicks that has change things though I still don't understand why.

When they were Saudi Arabs, we bombed Iraq, so... maybe.

Fortunately, California is an island and nobody comes and goes without a security check.

Another good example of strict gun laws is Chicago. They never have shootings there!

    /liberal logic for the lose

(speculating only). It's a very soft target with, apparently, hundreds of employees concentrated in a couple of buildings, in a exurban area with nowhere to hide and no rescue nearby.

Don't know if the early reports of a former employee are accurate or not. Probably most of our data is bunk right now, sadly.

Indianapolis (and numerous other gun friendly cities) which have very gun friendly laws have homicides rates higher than that of Chicago's & this year Houston will most likely have a homicide rate that's very close to that of Chicago's........ so what's your point.

Also you are forgetting that NYC, LA, SF etc all have very strict gun laws & also some of the lowest homicide rates for major cities?

Chicago is also an island. It's impossible to go into Indiana, buy a gun, and drive back into Chicago. Derp.

Your stupid comment underscores that this is a federal problem that cannot be solved by cities or states.

We live in the SMH era now. That's all anybody has the attention span, willpower or courage to do.

We took care of Koresh and the Weaver family good enough in '92-93, I don't remember who we attacked after the World Trade Center bombing.

Not news really anymore. How many more must die for the gun lobby?

People only talk about deaths. How about what it costs in health care and life long disability payments?

Police: Active scene, shots fired, officers involved & suspect down. Related or not, we don't know yet.

I take it bigtexxx has never visited Chicago......it takes 90 minutes to get to Wisconsin (pretty easy to buy a weapon there)....and less than 30 minutes to get to Indiana (even easier than Wisconsin).....

That 'Chicago has strict gun control' is SO stupid.

I've spent a tremendous amount of time in Chicago.

Your theory that the good citizens of the south side of Chicago drive to Wisconsin to buy guys is hilariously naive and ignorant.
