Noone had him at 35 or less, idiot. Everyone knew that McHale would play him high minutes, he does this notoriously even with players like Ariza, Parsons, etc.

The point of getting Ty was to relieve James of this kind of pressure. Too bad the dumb idiot can't defer, and is lazy off ball.

If Harden gave effort on both ends for 3.5 qurters and then just ran out of gas..I can guarantee you fans and.media would be a lot more forgiving..it would be about getting.this poor guy some help.

Not gonna happen when you're taking plays off early in games, early in the season, and when you're getting blownout.

If Harden gave a rat's ass, the other team would be cooked by the end of the third quarter. He'd be playing actually less minutes.

This team when fully dialed in is MEAN.

Jimmy Butler & LBJ come to mind as guys I've seen work both sides of the floor while playing 40 mpg.

While I'd like Harden to play fewer minutes, I'd appreciated it if he was more dedicated to being the best player on the court.

Maybe - but they don't display the complete lack of desire that Harden does. When Russel Westbrook averaged > 40% USG he still put in the effort defensively.

Yeah, he is full of poo. Came here after being a 6th man in OKC. Said he wanted to be a superstar. The Rockets game him the opportunity and he has become one with the Rockets. Now that the real work has started he can live with his performance? Really?

He and Dwight have more in common than they think.

PER doesn't do a great job of measuring defense, btw.

I know this was for Dwight but it seems appropriate here -

The problem is not him losing effort at the end of the games after 30++ minutes. the problem is him not trying even from the start of the games.

People comparing Olajuwon and Harden are way off base.

First of all Olajuwon was near where near the offensive player Harden is.

Second, playing as a big vs as a small is much tougher on the small. The small has to cover and rotate all over the perimeter. The big, only has to rotate a few feet.

You guys need to understand that Harden is not a freak athlete, and the human body simply cannot take 100% effort of offense and defense. It simply isn't possible.

Jimmy Butler's not a freak athlete either, I didn't see him ask to play less while actually giving effort on D and carrying the offense without Rose last year.

THe problem is you can't say this out loud. Does anyone think if his minutes per game drops to 35 we'll see a noticeable improvement on D?

If I were coach, I'd take this this to heart and play him less just to see what happens. This is such BS. I had high hopes for Harden, that he'd become the next Dwayne Wade. Looks like all that was rubbish...He may still continue to become better, but leadership is not something that can just be taught. You gotta have some to begin with. Just don't see that in him.

And Jimmy Butler is nowhere near the caliber that Harden is, nor is he asked to carry the load that Harden does.

If we were RUNNING - maybe... but he's walking the ball up at a snails pace...

We're not talking about defensive lapses a couple months into the season - his d has sucked since the season began!

    Screw this LOSER!

He's trying to work his way outta town - so he can go be a Kardassian or whatever...

James has made the list - with Pippen and Royce - SELFISH LOSER!

He didn't try for a rebound one minute into the game. Doubt he was tired then
