Yeah but the ONLY reason he wasn't that much of a threat to her was because she was for whatever reason immune to his power. What's "frightening" about him is that he had almost total power over people and hurting them meant nothing to him. His immaturity was part of what made him villainous. If he was a bit smarter, he'd have been unstoppable.
I thought he was very clever, but stoppable because of the limits of his power, not his intelligence and planning. I would say only until the end did he have unstoppable powers, since his distance of control was previously limited to what 20-50' and 12 hours. Then when his dad boosts that power, I think that rush caused a wee bit of insanity with his new powers, so he didn't plan as well as he did before. You could say, that was actually when he was most vulnerable, because he made the mistake of thinking he was now invincible.
It's coming out next year. Most likely after Daredevil Season 2. I believe Iron Fist will probably not be until 2017, but hopefully I'm wrong on that one. Defenders should be strong if they continue this trajectory.
Agreed, I mean he had a 60% chance of dying during the procedure just to get that done. He clearly wasn't thinking everything through.
That was just a rumor (thankfully). Iron Fist is still that dude. Punisher is going to be featured heavily in Daredevil S2 though. One of the producers I believed summed the season up as 'Daredevil vs. Punisher'.
Too bad Civil War is just one movie. The Netflix series along with AoS would play well in my opinion with the Iron Man and his group as the villains even if you never see Iron Man.
Matt Murdock being a lawyer & Punisher being out of his mind could really play in nice to a secondary Civil War storyline.
Yeah between the quality of writing we have seen, and the casting of Punisher, it could be absolutely epic. I'm sure JJ season 2 will come out next year, and Luke Cage will be launching as well. Netflix could have something special. The binge nature of the shows mean they are more like extended movies and not TV shows, so there is little drag. They can release one of these every few months.
I know they won't get their own series but I hope Misty Knight and Colleen Wing eventually make an appearance in either the Luke Cage or Iron Fist series. Get that Heroes for Hire going
Lucky for you; I don't know about Colleen Wing but Misty Knight is 100% in Luke Cage. The way the writers made it sound, they're not sure if there will be a season 2 prior to Defenders. Since the show has been a huge hit, who knows though? The only thing planned for next year is Daredevil S2 / Luke Cage at the moment though. That would have been SICK.
Just finished the series. I gave it a try, and the wife really got into it around episode 4 after watching snippets here and there. **Spoilers if you haven't seen all the episodes** I enjoyed it much more than Daredevil. Jessica Jones had more of a plot and struggle compared to Daredevil's episodic monster-of-the-week baddie. Kilgrave was humanized much better than Fisk who just annoyed me to no end with his emo daddy issues. You can sympathize for Kilgrave because he grew up in a lab and was tortured daily by his parents in the perspective of a child, although they meant well. I was actually rooting for Kilgrave because he seemed like such a romantic dude with all the effort he took to win over Jessica Jones. The episode with him and Jessica at the house was probably the highlight of the season for me because it focused the most on Tennant who was spectacular in all his scenes. The climax was the Sin Bin episode when he escapes and all chaos lets loose. The couple of episodes after that were pretty dull, but it ended decently. Some criticisms are I thought it focused too much on tertiary characters. The crazy upstairs neighbor had TOO many scenes and added absolutely nothing to the series; I just wanted to fast forward through all her scenes. Malcolm was annoying, too, because he'd get emo at Jessica Jones yet be right back at her apartment cleaning up like her maid - dude has no conviction. I thought Simpson had a bit too much screen time, especially after he went all crazy, but I guess they're planting seeds for Jessica and Trish to investigate IGH and the origin of her powers. Overall pretty good series.
Yeah I saw that. I think they're gonna end up changing those plans. Given that Iron Fist hasn't even started filming it likely won't be out until 2017, and Defenders won't be out until mid 2017 at the soonest. Given how positive the reception, I can't imagine they're gonna wait over 2 years until season 2.
Just finished. Very solid, better done than DD. I felt DD reached higher heights but lost momentum after 4-5 episodes. JJ kept it going and I couldn't stop watching. There is no doubt in my mind JJ season 2 will happen before Defenders because season 1 was so good and Iron Fist is far behind schedule. Can't wait for Luke Cage, which should be even better. Marvel on Netflix could end up being something very special.
Looks like Marvel finally settled on creative direction for Iron Fist. http://marvel.com/news/tv/25516/sco...inal_series_marvels_iron_fist?linkId=19388163 Supposedly, Daredevil season 2 will release April 2016, Luke Cage in November 2016 and Iron Fist in Apr or Nov 2017 (depending on whether Jessica Jones gets an immediate second season renewal). The first Defenders series would be next after Iron Fist.
I saw JJ, then watched DD after, due to this thread. Didn't know about DD, before. I was saying, DD is much better. But that was early in the season. I just finished DD, now. Now I'd say I agree with A_3PO, it was only better for the first 4-5 episodes. so, imo now after watching all DD, JJ was better overall.
