Gutsy move also by JBB to sub in Capela for Thornton for defensive purposes late in the PT. We had a 5 pt lead but Harden couldn't stop Afflalo.

So he went with Ariza on Afflalo and put Capela on Porzingis. Spelled the difference in the final stretch.

I'm sure McHale would have gone with small ball and made no adjustments at all. JBB learning on the fly.

That Harden iso when he's bricking is an eyesore. I hope we reach the time when we can have a decent PG playmaker (Thornton playing that role for now) and actually sit Harden when he's playing poorly in the endgame.

You can't expect the Rockets to play fast break all the time if they are starting two centers.

We have found a reason not to play Brewer anymore--Thornton found his shot again and can actually handle the ball in place of Harden.

The team is also running some plays like one after a timeout when Bev got a lay-up in. More strructured offense please

So his default play is pound the ball and then hoist a 3?

All the more, he should get his teammates involved.

I hope to God he doesn't spread his virus to his teammates. They should iso him on the plane.

What was up with Harden giving up on that fastbreak possession ? Its like he wanted them to score.

It was also a very rare thing to see all the Rockets paying attention in the huddle.. very rare.

at least Harden was sick. what's Dwight's excuse for letting Seraphine torch him all night long and grabbing only 6 rebounds?

I'm apologizing because I went straight for sabotage. It didn't even occur to me that he might be sick..

Wait, how did Harden get that cold? Did he have sex with a sick stripper!!?!?

Why am I not feeling the kind of joy that I had before after a win?

thought we played an OK game, really got bailed out by thornton who made some tough 3's.

defense as a whole was lacking again, harden was getting lit up by affalo.

bev played pretty stellar defense and forced some key turnovers on.

knicks were shooting lights out, seemed like last time we played them all over again.

good team win though, hopefully this sparks some locker room unity.

Disagree. This was incredibly important stuff tonight. New coach. Mixing rotations. Following his instincts. Thornton gets to be in at crunch time. He and Beverly become foaming mouth defenders. Harden has terrible game. NY is going crazy. Gigantic come back. Best game since the playoffs against Clippers.

This can set a tone for this team. Which needs some juju and may have just gotten it.

    Go Rockets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 1 game back from the 8th seed and 3 games back from the 4th seed. Season is far from over. The goal imo should be to get to the 4th seed by jan 1st.

Because you did not jump up and down in the living room and pace the floor as we came back and won. That's why. Sometimes you have to make your little dance and see if the magic is right. What a win.
