I give Bickerstaff credit for what he did with changing the lineup and starting Howard and Capela as the front court. I loved that a lot, those two will make the Rockets strong. Mchale would have still be starting Terrence Jones. But there's still issues with the team offensively, they looked lost and they are relying a lot on James Harden's ISO's which is a terrible idea. They have to start Ty Lawson and let him quarterback the team and let James Harden be the second playmaker. But I think Bickerstaff is too young to coach this team, he's not ready. Morey should find someone else who can figure things out better for this team.
I've use Capella at the 4 on 2k to close out the first half and to play the 4th since it came out maybe I should be the coach. Honestly think my 2k rotations are better then what these jackasses come up with Only problem with starting him is us getting killed on boards when the bench comes in
I don't think bickerstaff is doing a bad job at all.. This team however I'm done with. If your name isn't harden or capela you can go. Hate doing that to Trev but I think he's lost a step
Not yet. We need to fix the endgame offense though. Too many bad habits of standing around. That sequence on which Thornton tied the game vs the Knicks tonight was actually a comedy of errors.
So if it is not Terry fault his given minutes then i guess i will blame this guy for not playing Lawson, seriously.....no one else sees that as a problem? Barely beat the win less Sixers and the Melo less Knicks....
props to JB for only playing Brewer 7 mins. he def adjusts way faster than MaHale. my only gripe is the number should've been 0, but i think i can live with 5 mins of Brewer every now and then.
The guy has a winning record... as long as he can maintain a .500+ record he is a lock for the job next season.
I think its wrong for some of you guys not giving him a chance at least IMO he aint no McHale in any way I've seen a lot of good stuff for someone who just became a head coach and the team is responding
This team went to the conference finals last year with a .683 winning percentage! If Bickerstaff has the Rockets at a .501 winning record at the end of the season is he is a lock? I would think that this would indicate that he ALSO didn't get this team to play their best. This team has absolutely no reason to play below .600!!! ....... ....... .......
Last year Harden and the Rox had a great camp and started the season 10-0. This year the Rox had a horrible camp and they're losing to crappy lottery teams. We also don't have any PF apart from Jones who is playing horrible.
I'm assuming JB is the youngest head coach in the league right now correct? What is he 36? Stevens is 39, D. Fisher is 41, Jason Kidd is 42.... so that tells you something. For being that young and being able to do what he's doing now is pretty impressive. I do think that the Rockets win or lose will still look to bring in a high profile coach over the Summer, but JB has my respect showing the ability to be a head coach at this age respectably, and I doubt this will be his last head coaching opportunity. But we should all hope that JB is our coach late this season and next year moving forward. That means that he did the impossible and turned this S$%^ Show of a team back into a contender.
