The Suns have been the better organization for the most part (best drafting team in the league considering draft order, some screwd trades--e.g., Barkley from Phily), but what can you say, we lucked (well, 50/50) into the #1 pick for Hakeem and we really lucked into the #1 for Yao (like a 10% chance). That is the difference between the trajectory and ultimate results of the organizations--but what the hell, most of the time I'd rather be lucky than good.
All suns fans are immigrants in this forum... Why dont we just ban them from here if they are going to be talking nonsense.. SUNS SUX... ROCKETS rule over the suns... The suns have nothing... Jake hahaha... you gotta be kidding me suns fans... Hey Rockets fans i think its time to duck... HAHAHA.. Yall sux.. get out of the bbs... POSTING TRASH LIKE THIS... HAHAH.. sorry no offense... and sorry too mods and admin... just felt like posting this.
*NEWSFLASH* *NEWSFLASH* *NEWSFLASH* *NEWSFLASH* The Suns haven't done jack sh*t with their current players, Rockets the same. It's apples and oranges, people. Stop fighting. After 50 games this season...THEN you can argue. amare is the most overrated player in the nba
exactly, we got hakeem b/c of luck. the spurs got duncan out of luck. and hell, even the lakers got shaq and kobe, not b/c of their shrewd management, but b/c shaq always had wanted to play in LA and wouldn't let orlando win the bidding war no matter what and kobe essentially forced his trade to LA (which is even more luck than us getting francis b/c francis at least wasn't saying where he had to go). hell, the bulls got jordan b/c portland liked sam bowier and had drexler. and now we got lucky with yao. hopefully it turns out just like all those other lucky ventures. lucky is most definitely the way to go.
another lurking burnt out suns fan BURNED!!! that shows to all yall suns out there who will be lurking the rocs or any other sites to stay the f**k away!!! dont be too jealous coz eventhough we both didnt improve this much this off-season, we can still beat your team anytime.. jealousy, a very dangerous enemy... and how do you have the odasity to go here and talk that trash when you cant back it up! all yall suns fans start sun thread in a frekain ROCKETS BOARD!! how dumb can you get?! stick to your own suck-ass board iight?!
Lord, don't post bs like that. When the hell did teams focus on Amare?Yeah, he put up good numbers at the end of the season (especially when the Suns kept force feeding him in the garbage minutes of games...3 that I personally saw on national TV at the end of the season), but people were not focusing on him. The difference between Amare and Yao last year is that the Suns guards know how to drive and dish, and that's how Amare got the majority of his points. His guards are good at setting others up, and he is a great finisher. Put him on our squad and it's a totally different story. Ming probably could have averaged 20 in Phoenix..... Was Amare's foot & eye injured? Probably so. But don't post crap like teams focused on him. We all know that is pure BS. He is at best option #4 (Marbury, Marion, Penny....who was healthy at the end of the season).
With all this talk guys I wonder who you think will have the best record next season. And I dont mean 5 years from now. But this next season. Im gonna go with the Rockets. I like Rudy but i think a change was needed. And Im thinking everyone on this team will wake up next year.
Jerry Coangelo is the worst owner in the world. How could he miss the coin flip for Kareem? Jerry... Tails never fails! What a moron.
This is the bs that makes us rockets fasn look like idiots sorry moe, had to say it plus its colangelo and the man is being considered for the basketball hall of fame
BS! Your crappy phxsuns.net board is ALWAYS talking about Yao and the rockets. We never mentioned a damn thing until you...opps...I mean Amare_droolz decided to start trolling. Hell, who would want to register at those horrible suns sites anyways? They're all crap compared to cc.net. I just like to look over there ever so often and watch you guys talk about "BIG JAKE" and what a 'great' player he could be! LOL! What a friggin joke! Oh and "JJ" ? LOL! That chump won't ever be in Cuttino Mobley's league let alone a solid player. You guys have 2 allstars in Marbs and Marion, and one great garbage player(Stoudemire) that feeds off of them. Good luck with Amare next year hope that surgery and entire summer off without working on his game won't rust him up too much. But I'm sure you won't be worried because Amare_rulz, right?
this is the bs that makes us rockets fasn look like idiots. learn how to detect sarcasm before you flame someone. please.
Thank you! I'd love to know when Amare was the focs of opposing defenses. Never. In fact, the Spurs got a lot of flack for NOT focusing on him. But they did later in the series and kept him under control. As mentioned Ice, if our guards slashed to the basket regularly Yao Ming would have been a monster. That won't be a problem, Van Gundy will have them slashing and attacking, then we'll see who the "best young team" in the NBA really is. I COMPLETELY disagree with this! They have drafted well, but so have the Rockets. Take a look at the Suns drafts, they have drafted as much crap as we have, it's just that Rockets fans look at our bad drafts and other teams, like the Suns, good draft and compare that instead of comparing the bad drafts of each team. It's just that their picks happen to look better. And you say luck, but then you can say the Suns lucked into Barkley who was originally supposed to go to Portland and the 76ers happened to take crap for him. They lucked into Kidd because there was tension in Dallas and he happened to be traded. If not for the tension in Dallas Kidd doesn't get traded and no Kidd or Marbury is in Phoenix. People talk about how good an organization the Suns are for not making stupid decisions, and point to the contracts the Rockets dealt out with Moochie, Taylor and Cato, but I can counter that with Penny and Gugliotta. People make make the excuse "well the Suns couldn't have known that Googs would have a negative reaction to a drug, it's not their fault", but that didn't stop people from blaming the Rockets for giving out a contract to Mo prior to his injury. Bottomline, the Rockets are a top flight organization, just as good, maybe better then the Suns organization.
Rockets Millenium instead of giving one big explanation why not just put it in simpler terms... SUNS SUX
No you are. In fact, your so full of ****, it would clog up the New York City sewer system. I think its literally going to take me about an hour to sort through and reply this patheitc **** you posted. Why are you including unproven draft picks in this for your team? They havent done **** in the NBA. Well if your going to do that..............Rocket fans might as well just throw in Malick Badine(this years pick) in there too. And BTW............he's been tearing it up in summer league too. The Suns will get to "Ma-LICK his balls" next year. And Eric Piatkowski isnt really talented? I think you need to check your list again. And you have Casey Jacobsen listed! What the ****? You mean the same guy who averaged 5.1 points a game last season......... Jake Tsakalidis............averaged 4 points a game and 3 robounds?............... Jake Voskuhl..............averaged 3.8 points a agme and 3 rebounds?............... Joe Johnson................averaged 8 points for his CAREER!? ........ This is the bright future for the Phoenix Suns? And about that list.............who the **** cares about age. "It aint nothin' but a number" according to SWV. What matters is what the players DO ON THE COURT. But yet still they went 1-4 against our lowly Rockets, the very same team you claim your beloved Suns are better then. Go Figure! You mean the same Zarko listed as a SF and projected to be a Foward in this league is going to be you future center! The same guy who has WEAK rebounding skills and DOESNT take advantage of his size in the post, according to the NBA geniuses you Suns fans like to listen too. He's going to be your hope for the future? Gimme a ****in break! http://www.**************/draft/zarko_cabarkapa.htm http://www.nba.com/draft2003/profiles/CabarkapaZarko.html And BTW.................Unlike Yao, Zarko wasnt exactly tearing it at his former team, B.C. Buducnost Podgorica. In fact, he only averaged 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. I looked that up and got it form AZ Sports Fans Network so dont try and say otherwise. Its info from your very own neighborhood. And while were on the subject, If the Suns were really smart, they would have selected Marciej Lampe. You remember him right..........the REAL next "Pau" that dropped form a sure top 5er' to the second round becuase of contractual issues with Real Madrid. Well guess what.............the Suns passed up...............and now he will play for my BELOVED KNICKS NEXT YEAR! Smart move Sucka's! "ZARKO CAN KISS MY ASS".........Its all about "Mar-Chek Lom-Peeee!" clap, clap........ http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/lampe_030813.html Yeah they do. Some no-namer scrubs.........Dirk Nowitzki, Raef LaFrentz according to there website...............who the bloody hell are they? CBA ballaz' And word is, they got some assclown named Danny Fortson to help them out down low. Who is he? Must be another one of those damn Euro players they always scout and bring over. http://www.nba.com/mavericks/roster/ Cant tell who your tryin to diss here. If your talkin Bout Dallas as a good defensive team...............Since when? Roy Tarpley era? If your talkin bout the Suns......................Since when? Cotton "****"simmons era? Alright I think I will check up on it. Here's what I found Game 1.......Duncan, finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds, Game 2........Duncan finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds 6 block shots. And BTW...........those future hopefulls of yours.........Shawn Marion was held to just six points on 3-of-14 shooting but had 12 rebounds. Stoudemire made just 2-of-6 shots and finished with four points. Game 3..............Quote from game recap..........The Suns frequently double-teamed Spurs forward Tim Duncan and limited him to 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting. But the MVP candidate pulled down 23 rebounds on his 26th birthday to help San Antonio control the glass, 51-35 Game 4...............Duncan had 24 points and 11 rebounds. More on your hopefullsthanks to a direct quote from game recap................The Suns trailed by as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter but stormed back, despite sub-par efforts from Marbury and Stoudemire, the NBA Rookie of the Year who fouled out with 3:12 remaining. Amare had 7 points and 6 rebounds Game 5................Duncan added 23 and 17 Game 6................Duncan had 15 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists for his second career postseason triple-double. And here's a link just in case you want to check up and see if I got everything right. Read it and weep. http://www.nba.com/playoffs2003/ataglance.html Oh yeah, we start up threads all the time to bash the Suns all the time. You say you always lurk around these parts alot. If you really did, you would probaly see that,......... how should I put this................as Little Jon says, "We dont Give a ****!" about your beloved Suns. And BTW, being that were on this subject.................I dont know about you but................Amare Rulz (thread starter) doesnt strike me as being the perfect name for A ROCKETS FAN! Doesn't matter..............atleast the Rockets dont have to say "GOT CENTER ?" unlike some teams I know.
Damn tigereye, nicely put. By the way SlinSlin I'm still waiting for those links to the threads that you talk about!
You know, if any of you Suns fans stacked your brains together and squeeze an ounce of decent strategy, you could say, "Hey at least we made the playoffs last year." And some of us lowly Rocket fans would say, "Hey, they got a point." But then you Suns fans should also realize this is a Rockets-fueled site. See all those different forums you can click onto? They're there so we can somehow relate it back to the Rockets. It's a setup, a fly trap, and you suckers keep coming back. We're bias for the Rockets like a New Yorker who keeps yapping about John Starks dunk (even though they lost) and that one championship. Welcome to the Fight Club. Rule 1: Karl Malone sucks. Rule 2: Hakeem is the greatest Rockets player of all time. Rule 3: Even if we're wrong, we're right. P.S. I like Amare but the six year plan in high school is dubious. I mean, he was already 20 in the beginning of the season, almost 21 now. That whole high school argument thing lost its affectiveness for me. So in high school, he was quite literally, a man among boys.
