anyone catch the mcgrady / bobby jackson fight??
that was pretty immature move by mcgrady in my opinion. esp at the end of overtime, untimely.. and stupid.
the fan throwing beer on jackson was just PATHETIC to say the least. i can only say i hope rox fans wont ever pull that kind of bs.
looked like a lot of guys got up off the bench. what is the exact rule about that? just getting up, or actually going on the court?

LOL I caught that just as I was turnin back to the Rox game from Jay Leno. [IMG] Dayum! I just saw them boxing and the refs come in, didn't see why they started boxing. They act by the fan was completely idiotic but it was funny as hell watchin jackson run back out and cuss the shiet out of the fan and threaten him/her/them and the security hold him back. I was coughing and laughing which, by the way, hurts like hell.

Well, the whistle had blown, and Jackson slapped McGrady on the arm, but McGrady lost his cool and popped him with the ball.

Its a good thing that they broke that up cause Jackson was about to get worked.

Very immature by McGrady. He just tossed the ball demeaningly at Jackson's face, and Jackson couldn't help but retalliate. McGrady's ego got the best of him.

I thought the slap was from his follow through of an attempted block? I don't know, I just saw the slow mo replay. If Jackson did indeed slap his hand after the whistle, I can kind of see why McGreedy got mad, however, that is still no excuse to throw the ball at someone's head.

How punk was for Danny "hey, it says Holiday Inn" Ainge to keep insisting that Jackson was as much wrong as McGreedy. Thompson had to repeat 4 or 5 times that McGreedy was the instigator before Ainge finally admit "Ok, McGreedy started it first." I guess the incident gave him a flash back. [IMG]

Did anyone find out if they found the fan that threw the beer? They should let Jackson throw a beer back in his face. What a punk!!! [IMG]

so jackson is doing the right thing, if he's gonna get kicked out, take mcgrady with him.
i guess thats why aingehole threw the ball at mario's head.

The police went into the stands and the guy was pointed out to them. He was sitting there calmly sipping another beer, like no one would notice he'd stood up and thrown a beer at Bobby Jackson.

    Excruse me!!

Don't you know that basketball players, especially the young ones, can't fight? All they ever do is wrestle and hold each other until the refs come and break it up. Let's remember:

    1. LJ and Zo's slapfest, with Jeff Claude Van Gundy battling Zo's calf muscle (This was the WORST fight I have ever seen, watching two huge men slapping at one another. And LJ used to box when he was younger! EMBARASSING!!)

    2. The Cambyman's overhand swing that embarassed all 8 year old girls worldwide.

    3. (I point this one out because he always brags about it) Barkley picking up Big Tacky at the Summit, falling forward because he couldn't hold him, and them both falling to the ground. If you go back and look closely, while on the ground Chuck had the nerve to put it fist on Shaq's temple as if he were punching him. WHAT A SHAM!!

    4. While we're on the Big Tacky, let us not forget his beatdown of Montross' shoulder while he was in Disneyworld, or Laimbeer running around like a BEYATCH after he got under Shaq's skin.

    5. And finally, Mac and Jack playing "catch" on TNT. When I saw the highlights of this episode, I was waiting for the dramatic soap opera music, and thought they were "getting back together". And when they "aired their differences" (there's nothing better than "angry sex"), I thought the refs were coming in to give them a condom (let's remember to practice safe sex), with all the cuddling, close proximity of faces, and subsequent descent to the ground.

Now if you want to see REAL FIGHTING, the NHL is the BEST, HANDS DOWN. I mean, those cats just square off and start blasting each other until someone gives. Question: WHAT IN THE HELL ARE THE REFS DOING WHILE THIS IS GOING ON, TAKING BETS?

Some say football, but what kind of damage is a fist going to do against a helmet or shoulder pad. Their fights usually consist of tugging on face masks and shoving, "tittie bumpin'" is what my high school coaches called it.

And as for baseball, their fights are AYIGHT. They just start off so weak, usually with a batter storming the mound, and as the batter starts to come into contact, the pitcher tackles him to the ground, unless he throws his hat or glove at him as a pitcher whose name I can't quite remember did a few seasons ago. (Remember Chan Ho's drop kick [IMG]) But the real treat comes when the benches empty, and all the little side fights that occur. NOW THAT'S SOME GOOD FIGHTIN'!!

One of the LAMEST fights ever was a Xmas day game back in last eighties or very early nineties with the Bulls playing the Pistons and Horace Grant tried to punch Rodman or Salley, man that was the softest and funniest punches i have ever seen, my young sisters all punch better and stronger, it was so funny, anyone else remember it?

The 4 players from the Kings were suspended, and they lost because of that.

While I agree that McGrady was at fault for bringing Jackson on to push him by tossing the ball at his head, Jackson should've had the smarts to let it go and be more of a man.

Not only that, but after he had the beer thrown on him, Jackson wanted to pull a Barkley (like he did in an Orlando bar) and chase down the fan in the stands and fight there. Later in the locker room, he tried to escape again to get him. He should've just calmed down and let security do their job, which they did.

Just my two cents. The suspensions were fair and the Kings suffered against the Heat and it remains to be seen whether the Magic will suffer vs Vancouver Friday. McGrady still is young, only 21, and has some learning to do.
