It seems like they have been ISO for ever, the dump it down low and kick it back out, the dribble dribble dribble throw it to someone or the back it in back it in back it in then kick it out .

My interest in the Rockets is at an all time low. This team just flat out stinks. No effort, no heart. Harden is not a leader. Trade Dwight.

    1) nope, Harden does whatever he wants
    2) he'll never be a defensive player, plus he's facing 180 days in jail
    3) howard always injued, he wants to be traded
    4) dmo not returning until late dec, tj value is low
    5) moreyball fails with terrible shooters
    6) JB here to stay till end of season as per owner. Season is over.

James Harden got swamped by that $200 million Adidas contract. It impacted his priorities.

how about have harden play off the ball first (ha can do both effectively).....then put ty back in the starting line up....hold all players responsible for defensive lapses, and finally make our offense less predictable?

I figured it out. I know what's wrong.

The cut off jerseys were the source of their power. Just go back to the old jerseys and all will be well.

But honestly, I can't refute anything that he said

I still can't believe the way this season is going. It's a worst case scenario on all fronts.

That would leave them 61 games to go and truth be told, I actually expect their record to be something like that. What I'll be looking for is a more consistent level of effort from everyone and if that is happening, then this team still has a chance to make it to the playoffs and make some noise. If they are still going through the motions at that time, then I'd be forced to admit that they are in deep trouble.

Haha let's see how long this newfound love of discipline lasts. My excitement for this team was at fever pitch before the season started and now I find myself less excited about the Rockets than the execrable Texans. I can deal with teams losing because of injuries, lack of experience, plain old bad luck - I can't stomach a team losing because they don't care. They have their work cut out to get all the fans back that have been waiting 20 years for a trophy and instead got this nonsense.

What were they doing before? They are paid with the $10-20M to pay the ball, then they have a motivational issue. Dammit, this country has too many lazy people.

"A chance to go to the playoffs and make some noise", eh????

O high the mighty have fallen.

That would be the definition of FAIL for this team.

    Lowe/Battier on Houston:

Battier: All you have to do is watch them once and see wow, they don't play very hard. As talented as they are, you just can't assume wins. There's something off. I don't know if the guys enjoy playing with each other. There's not a joy you saw, even last year, when Harden was cooking. It seems they fed off his energy and spirit. I don't think he's had the same spirit. They look lost out there. It is tough. I've been part of a situation where coaches have been fired in season. We needed an entire cultural change and did that with Jerry West & Hubie Brown. Rockets have been close. What's been shocking is when you get far in the playoffs and lose or almost taste success, if you're a competitor, you come back with an edge, a burning desire to get over that hump. That's if you're a competitor. You don't see that. We just don't see that from the Rockets. I don't know if you can develop that edge in the middle of a season. It's thinking about that loss all summer long, in training camp, how close you were. I don't see a team develop an edge during the season.

ZL: It'll be interesting to see how they respond. Under Bickerstaff, they haven't been much different than under McHale. I don't know what's going on with Ty Lawson. I can't remember a player in his prime falling off like his. He's lost and I hope he's OK off the court. He's 28. The Ty Lawson that's on he floor now is unplayable. There is talent on this team. When they get rolling, they're like a wave crashing over you and I hope we get to see it.

Battier: They've been banged up, especially in the front court. Huge part of their play is the stretch four. They've had to play a little more conventional/unconventional for the Houston Rockets. They have serious talent. I believe Lawson will find his stroke. How does he react with sharing the ball with Harden? Sometimes it takes two bulls like that a little time. It's not easy. You can't assume it. You have to go through uncomfortable moments in a game or locker room to figure it out. You have to have 2 guys willing to make a change, make an adjustment. It takes time.
