In 4 out of last 5 games before injury, DMo had these numbers: FGM - FGA - Points 10 -- 16 -- 21 6 -- 9 -- 17 8 -- 13 -- 18 8 -- 12 -- 23 That's 64% on field goals. 50% on threes. Nights where he shots under 50% from the field were very rare all season. And unlike Capela, he wasn't just dunking, DMo was creating offense when we needed offense. And he was efficient like no other. What do we have now? Everyone shooting below .400, some below .300. Don't you dare to doubt DMo's impact.
No, not by himself, but he adds an element of offense that we're completely lacking for the most part in scoring from the post. When our 3 point shot isn't falling, we're terrible and there isn't much we can do about it. How great will it be to change things up and pass the ball down to DMo? You'll remember when you start seeing those hook shots again. I just hope he's not rushing things and can eventually get back to 100% this season.
They will only run offense through DMO in certain games. He will not be utilized like everybody on here think he will be. They will mainly have him camped out around the three point line.
I saw D-mo last night. At ruggles black. I was sitting at a table with 3 ladies and the owner of the place. I yelled D-Mo! Just as he was walking out and I realized it was him. He casually glanced back, and shook my hand. As I had it sticking out. Very chill, cool guy. Awesome experience he left there at about 11 pm. The owner said, yeah "he get's that all the time".
I would love to see the Rockets go to DMo (once he is fully back) and tell him to be more aggressive with his own shot more often, much like Memphis did with Marc Gasol last season. DMo is going to exist in the role that the coaches instruct in. He sees himself as a team player and is not just going to walk out on the court and start acting as if he is the number 2 scoring option, thats just not his mentality. But if he thought that his job was to be the 2nd scoring option and not to defer as much as he did last season, he has the offensive skills to be as good of a scoring option in the post as just about any player in the NBA. Maybe Harden wouldn't bench him next time we play Portland in playoffs harden likes big booties Spoiler Seriously, no one reads what BBallholic says? He said "Harden was the reason why DMo didn't play against Portland". Why no one else is reacting to it?
