Wise comment, fella, i share the same opinion with you. Now that his contract is very amenable, and his production is more than worthy of that contract, really think there is no reason to hate him other than being a pure hater -gotta separate the man with his unreasonable groupies.
Hey Jeremy Lin played really well for 2 weeks as a Knick, let's sign him to a 30 million dollar contract! Get er done Morey!
If the rumor is true that it was Les who forced Morey to sign Lin then I fear for the Rockets because Les is not going to fire himself. Morey made a mistake letting Lin go when he could have locked Lin up with a dirt cheap contract. Instead he kept Jonny freaking Flynn. Les made Morey "fix" that. Morey made a mistake hiring McHale. Now Les forced Morey to fix that. (Actually I don't know if it's Les's or Morey's idea to extend McHale last Christmas.) Morey made a mistake in getting Lawson who doesn't fit Harden's playing style. Les is likely going to force Morey to fix that if Lawson keeps sucking. I hope Morey doesn't sell low on Lawson and the dude for a bag of chips. All these "fixings" at best did not fix anything and at worst set the team back several years. When an owner is making kneejerk basketball decisions, nothing good will come out of it. Just look at the Knicks.
Yes, Lin is better than Lawson (as of this point in this season), however the real question is why we paid Patrick Beverly almost 7 million dollars. That is the one that will come back to haunt us. Great effort guy, horrible point guard (leader of the please do not shoot a 3 pointer brigade).
I don't see why this subject would get re-opened. Guy is gone and should not be a part of the conversation. Need to address the actual players that are on the team and what's going on with them
Three times the points and at least looking like we'll make the playoffs? Sure, sir! I don't care what baggage a player brings, as long as they can contribute.
I have no idea what the hell morey was thinking with that contract for Beverly. No talent defense hustle scrubs like him are a dime a dozen in the league. Same could be said for that ridiculous contract for McHale. Same could be said for bringing in a player like Lawson whose game doesn't fit with Hardens. Man's gotta go.
That's great. I'm sure his 1 offensive rebound a game is much more important than being a competent NBA player
Beverley is competent. Good hustle and D. Decent 3pt shooter. Can get to the hoop. Only flaw is that he isn't a playmaker - if he was either a playmaker OR 6'6 (so he could play on the wing) he would be a very good player.
