How does this help Memphis? What do they get that they don't already have? Rice? The have Mike Miller. Griffin? They have Gasol and Swift. This trade makes no sense at all.
Well most trades dont make sense now and days... Atlanta, well lets just leave like that.... Golden State, just a bunch of crap now... Trust me trades dont make sense all the time... Even New York gave you an example of a senseless trade... They trade Latrell Sprewell for a crappy non defensive KVH that loox like the only thing he does is wine about everything.... if this trade were to go true (maybe in that guys dream) it wouldnt make sense... just like you said... EDIT: ty for the honesty Tierre... its true i dont make sense half of the time...
Why do you think Memphis wouldn't do the deal?? I say the Rox get hosed in this deal. Knight doesn't add anything to the team, I'll take Eddie over Swift anyday, Eddie at least has some range and Battier???? Why do you think Miller and Posey were acquired because they think Battier is gonna be a stud?? Rice's contract is more valuable than the 3 of those stiffs.
Why would memphis trade one project for another (Stro for EG)? Usually, you trade someone with potential that you haven't tapped (Stro) for someone who actually lives up to their potential, but is not a tier one player (Cato, Mo T, etc). The other team has to believe that they know the secret to unlocking the players potential. The Rice for Battier part is pretty even, as one has seen his better days, and one is a role player at best. To trade projects such as Stro for EG benefits neither team. Both teams could probably get a decent tier 2 player by trading with a team with some talent and that would benefit them this year. Swapping projects just keeps you in the same boat tht you were already in, and gets you nowhere closer to the playoffs, which is where the Rockets want to be.....
why do you even mention it?... its enough pain having to read all this trade topics.. dont give the ppl that dont know how to set up a trade more ideas....
