Looked like prime Kobe/Wade posting up. I hope he can develop the fadeaway turnaround J like jordan/Kobe as well.

I disagree because Harden is the strongest SG in the NBA.

Will it work on say Jimmy Butler or Bradley Beal? Probably not, but he should feast on nearly every other SG in the NBA.

Dwight & Ariza hustle > Harden's post moves...

And this team still shot like 40 something 3's

Not sure if this is correct or not but neither here nor there. Adding/developing/using the post game to his repertoire will only make him that much more deadly. Drive by the slower guys, post up the smaller guys, fadeaway against the longer/stronger guys, it doesn't and shouldn't have to always be 3's or ISO from 20 ft or drive looking for contact even though he's had great success with that. Perhaps most importantly...It will help prolong his career and keep him fresher in May/ June (hopefully).

Did anyone else notice the change where Harden wasn't bring the ball up as often? Even when he did, he passed off to Terry before mid-court. Another new coaching wrinkle by Bickerstaff/Finch?

Bullard was right. Give him more post up opportunities.

He did it in the the Celtics game too. The difference being the Celtics picked off all of Terrys' passes. It's Lawson's problem that he keeps giving the ball up to Harden. Can't blame coaching on a player being weak and passive.

harden on the post reminds me of mark aguirre and adrian dantley. This maybe the post presence the rockets have been lacking with dmo out.

I definitely agree it is a huge plus to have in his repertoire. I just question how many teams it will work against.

We were just happy to see something DIFFERENT on offense. Let us enjoy it.

And, yes, Portland sucks....but we were down by 17 at one point. That's a solid comeback win no matter who the opponent is. Especially given the kind of day it was at Toyota Center.

Harden was horrific from outside, and as soon as he started posting you could tell his rhythm was coming back. All the great SG's have had a post game to mix things up and get easy buckets when things dry up. Glad Harden brought it out, Crabbe had no clue how to defend him.

It's one game but potentially a big development if Harden post game is part of the offense.

One thing I know for sure: Harden post ups >>> Dwight post ups

He needs to show defenders a right shoulder turn around fadeaway to be unstoppable in the post.

We can work with him in the post.

Been waiting for this since last year! Not only is it effective but it opens up Dwight for weakside offensive rebounding.

Right...The narrative was that he shut harden down because he got a couple blocks and Steals, but for the most part Harden took Aminu to school.

Only took JB/Finch 5 quarters to figure that out. Improvement over McHale who would have taken 5 weeks.
