I don't think it's irrelevant, given how the players have played. I wasn't big fan of McHale..but you saw what happened last year and their success. Maybe he's not the man to lead this team to a ring, but he's also not a man that makes this team a sub .500 ball club....i think if the players would just have listened, then McHale doesn't get fired, so they did get him fired...whether he's a great coach or whatever, is another topic.

I wanted one of the TNT guys to head coach this team. Maybe Barkley or Shaq?

    Great experience for Bickerstaff.

He is only 36. Even baby faced Brad Stevens is 39.

If our season flames out, I wouldn't mind giving Shaka Smart a chance.

well it sends a message that houston is on the hunt for a coach - the right coach.

and we'll get to see what JB is made of - now's his chance to prove himself as a coach and get that next head coaching gig. unless he wins a ton of games, we'll have a different coach next year.

I think he is an idiot but I would rather wait for a good coach to come along than sign whatever junk is available to a long term contract.

Honestly though, I would rather this team go coach-less in the mean time.

Let Harden and Dwight learn how to lead.

I know it sounds wacky but I would consider it.

Having Bickerstaff around is more of the same.

    Same ****, different pile.

Tend to agree. I think Thibs makes too much sense, if he keeps Finch of course.

    Harden not happy.

Based on his play in the Blazers game, he is trying to get Bickerstaff fired as well.

    Go James!!

So 12 games in and Morey throws the whole season. Great leadership.

I'd rather have JB than some retread. At the least, there is variability in how well he does. We all know that Scotty B (can't run an offense), Thibs (same), D'Antoni (can't coach defense) have proven themselves to have their limits.

Great adjustments. Using Harden to his strengths. The rotation was weird, but he will figure it out. Loving it so far.

Shots probably didnt drop early because they spent so much energy on defense and didnt have the legs to get their shots to drop. Looks like the team collectively caught their 2nd wind in the 4th and OT.

Heard on the broadcast that Bickerstaff had some differing views compared to McHale when he spoke with Morey and Les. Not sure what those views are, but at least for one game, it looks like it worked.

Rockets struggled early, but it never seemed like they weren't playing hard. Shots just werent dropping.

What a press conference. If that wasn't a confident and well spoken coach, I don't know what is!

He said Terry will be the starting point guard going forward? Where's Bev?

Idk, we are only 3 games in the loss column behind the #3 seed, but I agree, a LOT will have to change for us to even have a chance. We are gonna have to turn it around quick, hopefully that crazy Brewer shot gave us a spark.

Believe me, if they call you in and tell you they just beheaded your boss, and they ask you how you're gonna run the team, you're definitely gonna come up with some differing views.

I think this proves my point. You think they were only losing because they weren't listening to him. Don't get me wrong they have been playing poorly but Mchale had also been coaching poorly. Morey can't trade all of the players but he can fire the coach. He will make the appropriate trades when needed though.
