With the firing of McHale - Morey's hand picked coach - is this a signal from Les that he needs to get it done, or could Morey be next?

I believe that Morey is one of the best GM's in the league, but I also believe he undervalues coaching.

Do you guys think Les has given him an ultimatum too?

Yes Morey should be on the hot seat......by stats alone he hasn't done anything in terms of winning titles.

Firing Morey would be a terrible decision. He's shown a lot of skill in getting talent onto this team. We wouldn't find anyone better. McHale was hired to coach a rebuilding team and not a team with two all-stars on it. Now it's time to hire someone who is the right fit for the team we have now.

I hope he is as well. His inability to get real shooters from midrange and 3 is getting on my nerves

By stats alone, most GM's should be fired then by your standards.

At least 20 teams would be first in line to hire him if we let him go. That's a sign to keep him.

    Lol Whut?
U wanna see an incompetent GM? Look no further than Rick Smith and the Texans.

Morey is the best GM if not one of the best.

He makes good moves, then a lot of bad ones !!!!!

We Blew ASIK & N.O 1st when much more was available for ASIK

And plenty of guards were on the table at deadline, "I.Thomas" etc when we were in win now mode for DEKKER ! He just stayed pat, then signed KJ & BREWER back at the wing, my wife could've made a better decision that

    Can't get over that

    No.

McHale just came from a WCF appearance with half the team injured.

He just didn't prepare the team for this season and lost command of the locker room.

Awesome idea. Let's fire the guy who put a WCF team together from a team of scrubs after the Yao-Tmac era. He's not the reason this team has played god awful this year. Teams would line UP to hire him, making it rain everywhere.

He's not going anywhere anytime soon. Dumb thread.

i'd hate to lose him and his many positives because he doesn't see the value in coaching.

No. Its likely that this was his doing to push for the move sooner than later. This IMO, from what I've heard from Tom Haberstroh on the data that shows the likihood of even making the playoffs, makes it seem that this move at this time is more data driven than anything else.

Dude has landed us 2 superstars. Coaching decision was a mistake, but now he has a chance to make it right.
