It's not demonizing the religion, it's merely calling them what they are. Playing games with words makes it seem like either you are afraid to call it what it is or that you are hiding your true beliefs or intentions. Either way, both are good for ISIS recruiting.

If there were groups of extremist Christians out there murdering thousands with the hope of establishing a radical Christian theocracy...then we'd call it that and I don't think real Christians would have a problem with it.

 

All ISIS needs to recruit is the concept of rebellion and acceptance. Young people not destined for the privileged classes have always organized themselves for their own validation and determination.
