From that vantage point, it does look like it might be the actual video screen. Compare that to the video screen in Reliant Stadium and looks to have about the same dimensions. But still, one's an indoor screen and the other outdoor. And if it is what it is, that's pretty damn weak.
These pics are dated Aug 13. So if these were taken 2 weeks ago does anybody know if the hardwood floor is going to be installed before the ribbon cutting and open house? How do they go about putting down the hardwood court? Is it plank by plank?

Tigereye, good call on the Video Board in front of the arena. When I first heard that they were going to do that and I saw the SIZE of it I was VERY impressed! But seeing the final image it looks very pedestrian. It is HALF the size of the original rendering. Nothing really impressive about it at all. Looks more like the TYPICAL marquee that could be on ANY arena. That's unfortunate! From the outside of the arena that was one of the FEW things that was going to make the area really stand out.

Have you looked at San Antonio yet? I am down at the Toyota Center quite often and it is very asthetic and gives the feeling of a great building that will a major focus in our City Scape. Its not a flimsy barn like many Stadia it gives a sence of permanency and fits the location to perfection.

In my defense I must plead...............I was hanging out with Don Julio last night. Hanging out with him can sometimes bring the best and worst quailities out of someone. If you dont know what I refer too, take a trip over to your nearest local bar and ask for Him. What you recieve shall clear things up for you. And if you still dont get it, see a liquor store. exactly my point. SA has a venue designed to reflect the local culture, which IS creative and cool. The porblem is, the location. Its literally in the middle of no where. Had this building been built on the Riverwalk like it SHOULD HAVE BEEN, my feelings toward this facility would have been totally different. The overhanging porches on the endzone sides of the building could have overlooked the Riverwalk. Fans could have taken water taxi's to the game. And there would have been plenty of bars and restuarants at the riverwalk near the arena to hangout at before and after the game. The facility THEN would have probably been one of the best in the league. But local officials screwed this BIG chance up BIG TIME for SA. Now SBC Center sits in the middle of no where, no bars to hangout at or nightlife in the immediate area. Just an arena surrounded by giant parking lot........and oh yeah, the Freeman Coliseum for rodeo's...........Wow, Big Whoop! Now it just sticks out of the neightborhood that it is in, like a gigantic Barn it was designed to be. Horrible job done here.
Same here. No hard feelings And yeah, your right. That is real cool of Jay Z to stick up for the "Juniors." That's something a lot of us "Seniors" don’t do. For someone to stick up for you guys like that is really admirable and honorable. Good man Jay Z, Good man. I think some of us can take some good lessons out of that.
Close. To match the rendering, the bottom of the screen will need to be dropped a little lower to the top of the first level windows. As for the top of the screen, it will need to be raise to where it is just above the bottom of the top support bar. And just for fun, you can also put this on the screen. "Rockets 115-Lakers 85" I guess it would be wise to use this pic for reference. and BTW............does anyone feel that we need a photoshop thread again in the Hangout? Just a suggestion.

no expert, but medjool dates grace the landscaping of the land_sharks primary residence. They are fantastic, but I didn't think that they promoted a real hearty "Asian" feel. Perhaps it's just my limited understanding of the world...and trees.
