You also have to figure in the Anthony Davis injury at some point. He's missed 18, 15 and 14 games in his first three years. The Pelicans might be screwed this year.

This is actually the best thing to happen to them, Pellies need to lose now and lose fast before AD reaches his prime in 2-3 years. Going to the playoffs is just fools gold, they don't have personnel to be competitive and will just rely on AD's talent to make it. This means when AD is up for his next contract extension and he wants to win or make even more $$$ he will likely leave his team and go to LA/NYC or wherever. OTH if they lose now and get lotto picks they can surround AD with good players and give him a reason to stay like what happened in KD in OKC.
