Just as it was in the beginning.... It's good to see Hakeem ending his last year as a Rocket the way he started his career. With the EYE of the TIGER! While I was working on my taxes, I had to watch my CLUTCH CITY and DOUBLE CLUTCH videos. It was amazing how Dream was so unselfish on the court yet dominated. While he may not be the dominating force as he once was, it is good to see that he is having fun on the court with his teammates. Watching the videos I noticed how he just had this look in his eyes when he was around the other players. Tonight I saw glimpses of that in him - how he really enjoyed playing out there. Glad to see the EYE of the TIGER BACK in DREAM's EYES! ------------------
Good observation Rich. Two significant events occurred before Hakeem's performances deteriorated- 1. He won two championship rings, and became content. 2. He married an 18 year old girl. Neither event by itself might effect the play of an all-time great like Hakeem. Unfortunately though, these simultaneous windfalls were too much for a 35 year old legend. ------------------
