Harden led the NBA in win shares, and usually win you lead the league in that stat you win the league MVP... check basketball reference if you dont believe me... only a handful of times in nba history a player didnt league the league in win shares won the mvp
Agreed. If anything I was hoping the finals lose, the 8-1 trashing to GSW last season, losing the MVP to Curry would motivate Harden even more such that he comes out fighting but he has come out laying an egg for the most part. I was also not a fan of Harden b****ing all summer over the MVP lose but again I was hoping eh would use that as motivation to come out and show Curry who is boss. Kinda like Dream did to D Rob. Pretty disappointed and I have resigned myself to the fact that Curry is the better player with the better work ethic and motivation to be all time great
Coming from the Tinman Only Fan ... You know ... the one that harps about his 99er status and Hakeem status.
Curry is on another level as far as guards are concerned. He's breaking records left and right. Harden is fine with just being who he is...or is he?
Curry would probably last half a game against Bowen's "defense". <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/THGJJHln4Co" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Bruce Bowen didn't play legal basketball. He might be the dirtiest player outside of the Bad Boys era (Mahorn/Laimbeer). But that shouldn't take away from Curry. I spent all of last year arguing with friends that Harden should get MVP over Curry despite the stats and rightfully being called out for blind homerism. But this year, there's no way I could make such an argument without permanently losing face. Dude is averaging an unimaginable +14.7 OBPM right now and a PER of 37. To put that production in perspective, MJ never had a TOTAL BPM of over 13, or a PER over 32. And MJ is unquestionably the GOAT. You expect some regression to the mean as the season goes on, on top of wear and tear and attrition... but how much? And the scary question is, what if he doesn't - what if this is Curry, who always had the shot, now has the core strength and health, and more importantly the confidence and green light to shoot at will? The Warriors look like the most unstoppable team since the '95-'96 Bulls, and they aren't even playing to their full potential; Klay has been mediocre, and Bogut has been hurt. And it doesn't look like anybody can stop them right now.

He could have a couple more 40+ games had he not sat out due to GSW's large margin lead in several games.
Would be curious to see the reaction should Curry win the MVP again this year. If the Warriors win 70+ games there is no way you can not give it to him. Would his 2nd consecutive MVP validate last year's MVP to most of his haters? Would he start being mentioned along the list of the greatest PGs of all-time?
