it's a guard's league. You need good guard play to give yourself a chance to compete. They desperately miss Evans. Jrue can't even play more than 20-25 mins. Eric Gordon also struggling.
Pronouncing AD dead as a legit MVP candidate this early is knee-jerking at its best. He will get it together and explode. On the offensive end, Gentry as a head coach was supposed to be the exact opposite of Monty Williams' slowball approach. He was going to incorporate the off-ball movement, passing and cutting the Warriors did while unleashing AD all over the floor. I haven't watched them play much this year and can't comment on specifics, but something must be wrong in the lockerroom. It can't be all about injuries. Gentry's head coaching record isn't great, but he wasn't a flaming disaster either. Maybe the players are having a hard time making the transition from slowball to playing offense with urgency. Has anyone actually watched most of their preseason and regular season games? Were they terrible in preseason also?

I have to go all the way back to his clippers days to find memory of him playing well. He's always in a slump.
he definitely can't be your focal point at guard which he is right now. He is at least respectable when you have a healthy evans and holiday out there but we all know that's rare in itself.
The media so badly wants Anthony Davis (I'd say "the Pelicans", but one follows the other; the NBA is sold on stars) to succeed. I'm only half-against the team's success because the West is so very stacked. But they have looked discombobulated, maybe more so than the Rockets in their first three games. You'd think they'll turn it around this season, but so much depends on Tyreke Evans' return.
I keep trying to fabricate ways we could pluck Ryan Anderson from the Pelicans. Only way I can get it to work on realgm is Dwight + TJ for Anderson and Gordon.
A ridiculous, knee-jerk thread. They have a lot of injuries and they've played Golden State twice. Are you going to start a new thread when they begin winning and bless us with more of your "analysis" by telling us "They look so good"?
You are in for a rude awakening if you think Tyreke Evans is gonna change this teams woes. They look even more uninterested than the Rockets did the 1st 3 games.
their best play making guard who is also versatile doesn't make a difference? didn't realize evans was at the level of a D-league player...
You literally have no idea what you're talking about. You're one of the people on here who posts a lot, but says very little. There are many like you. You never answered my question: Are you going to start a new thread when they get healthy, more acclimated to their new system, and begin winning and bless us with more of your "groundbreaking analysis" by telling us "They look so good"? Lol, it's unbelievable how ignorant people can be when they don't think a 6th man of the year candidate along with their backup up pg, starting center, and best 3 pt shooter won't have a positive impact once they come back from injury. Not to mention the fact that they've played GSW twice and are implementing a new system.
They have a new system, a decimated frontline and are in the West. Of course they will struggle. I bet they still make the playoffs.
Another loaded team in the west? No thanks. I hope they go the Philly with iverson route and never get another in his prime, not injured star.
The team they're trotting out night to night is butt. That said, Davis is absolutely a monster. Not top-3 in the NBA, but a monster. And he hits threes now.
Really? Gentry is actually a pretty damn good coach, go watch the Suns when he was running them. They are hurt, they started Babbit and Smith last night. And for some reason Anthony Davis has became a jump shooter, but this may be connected with their injuries as other teams just collapse on him.
