Here is a new series starting in January. Is anyone going to watch this? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rCr3z_sTSNU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> There are some pretty big names associated with this, Jon Favreau (Director Iron Man & Avengers), Manu Bennett (played Crixus in Sparticus & Slade in the Arrow) and John Rhys-Davies (Gimly from LOTR). They are filming it in the same place they filmed LOTR. I read the book it's based on a couple of decades ago and was pretty good. I think it might be pretty good.
I'll watch it. I'm expecting it to suck, but I will definitely give it a chance to prove me wrong. I hope it does.
Yep, based on Elfstones. I read that if this is a success they will have a second season based on Wishsong. I enjoyed the books and hope the series is a success.
THIS x2! Although it wasn't exactly original or innovative, the series was IMO well written and entertaining. Loved the Druid of Shannara and that trilogy. Walkerboh is still one of my favorite characters.
Allanon is my favorite character. Just my two cents but I don't think they started with Sword because of the similarities between it and LOTR. Lots of differences but tons of similarities. Sword is still my favorite of any of the books that I read but I completely understand why they started with Elfstones instead of Sword. I really enjoyed Scions but I was never a huge Walker Boh fan. He was just too damn reluctant to me. He never seemed to achieve the same power that Allanon did either. On the subject of Walker Boh, I do think the Voyages of the Jaral Shannara would make an epic series. Just the right mix of ScyFy and Fantasy. Antrax would be one of the greatest villains IMO. Very unique.
Was never their biggest fan, but have been awaiting/dreading the reunion for some time. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CJaKv9dgQPU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
