So he didnt threaten no other change other than a coaching change? It goes to show that he believes in morey, the players, but hes clearly skeptical about McHale.

I wondet would he let Morey go find another coach of his liking or would Les be more hands on about the next coach he wants for his squad. I remember Les was really big in Adelman and wanted him to stay.

It's hard to evaluate Brooks given all of OKCs injuries. Westbrook got hurt in the 2013 playoffs, Ibaka in the 2014 playoffs, and Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka were all hurt at various times in 2014-2015.

The last time they were all healthy they made it to the Finals and lost to prime LeBron/Wade/Bosh. Then they traded Harden....

Brooks got a raw deal in OKC between Harden getting traded and all the injuries. I'm not saying he's a great coach, but he did oversee a team that went from one of the worst in the league to the top 2.

Les has never fired a coach mid season. There's always a first, but I'm skeptical.

I dunno... It really depends how much money is left on McHale's contract, lol.... I mean Les likes ticket sales and saving money so.... We'll see, I mean not saying cx didn't hear this just saying from my observations over the last 20 or so years of him owning the team, he's more talk than action. He also likes making wine and surrounding himself with ex-players :)

Let me make sure that I understand.

We've improved every season McHale has been here, we finally won a playoff series and made it all the way to the WCF despite missing two starters and now Les Alexander, who has never ever fired a coach, is talking about firing McHale because we're 2-3?

    Sure, makes perfect sense.

Forget the WCF. They may not make the playoffs if they don't get it together. Their defense has been atrocious.

In my opinion after you chance coach and do not achieve the results you want, then you should change GM...

That being said I think we should stick with both Morey and mchale. Unless we lose in the first round....

quite the opposite. there was friction between les & adelman on a personal level. morey had to talk les out of firing adelman at the beginning of one season.

Tough ultimatum and I'm not sure Morey has the personnel to pull it off again. Either way, change is going to be good. All or nothing.

Has Les ever fired a coach with years left on his contract?

Lol, I'm sure they'll make the playoffs, hell OKC and San Antonio only have 1 more win than us... By jumping to conclusions we might as well say other than GSW and LACs (gross) no one in the West is going to make the playoffs ;)

Now in a month or 2 if things haven't changed then sure... I'll agree they won't make the playoffs if they're like 5 and 30

There are no guarantees they'll be in the postseason. Would I be stunned if they wound up in the lottery? Yes. But they need to play way better than they have so far, including their two wins.

We need to be patient. There's been more freak injuries this season (Beverley - concussion, TJones - concussion and cut eye lid), plus we are integrating Lawson, Harden is struggling, and DMo is still working his way back. There's no way this team...

    Lawson / Beverley
    Harden / Thornton
    Ariza / Brewer
    DMo / TJones
    Howard / Capela

...isn't one of the top 2-3 teams in the league if healthy and given a month to develop chemistry.
