I like it but does the money work? Lopez is all that is really needed in today's NBA with Melo and Harden on the same team. If Lawson is needed to close the deal so be it.

    Howard, Lawson & Jones 37M +\-
    For
    Melo, Lopez & Grant 37M +\-

    Ryan Anderson is the answer

We should trade Terrence Jones, KJ McDaniels and Sam Dekker for Ryan Anderson. We desperately need another stretch 4. We're in win now mode and can't wait for Dekker to become Anderson. Ryan Anderson is a premier floor spacer, in the best shape of his life and healthy. New Orleans has already expressed interest in KJ and could use more young depth to build around Anthony Davis. The money works after KJ's restrictions expire December 15, 2015. Get er' done Morey!

I think Rockets will look to add a backup SF that can shoot to allow Ariza to play 10-12 minutes at PF.

Example of this would be something like Corey Brewer, Terrence Jones for Marco Belinelli, Caron Butler. This example adds two more guys that can shoot. Granted, only would do this if DMo looks healthy by deadline.

If NO really wanted KJ that much they would have given him a bigger offersheet. They didn't. Nothing has changed since, and as time passes and KJ doesn't get more time on the court and demonstrates he can shoot the ball his value won't get better.

Kings have no need for a pf and Karl is not going to trade Bellineli at all. He always relies on his vets.

From my understanding , No team made him a formal offer .... other than the Rockets.

That source isn't much of a source , Jake Pavorsky is just some kid on a 76ers fan site who throws crap at the wall to see what sticks .... He has no inside information. I find it almost comical that Bleacher Report quoted his twit.

Twitter has created a whole new breed of .... Sauces.

Even against OKC, Rockets were getting crushed on the boards with that small ball line up. Don't think it works as effectively with power teams like Spurs, Clips and Grizz.

Tyreke Evans injury does make things interesting with NOP they need three help bad they have to use Luke Babbit to start...NOP can use a few sf since Tyreke and Poindexter are both injured and had artho surgery. I think T Jones, Sam Dekker, and KJ is fair value for Anderson.

Just logged on to post something along these lines. If NOP doesn't pick it up soon they should be sellers and bring in some youth to build around Brow.

Thanks. I watched that tonight too. Too bad we have to wait until December 15th to make that trade. The Pelicans may not wait to make changes.

Wilson Chandler just re-signed with Denver for 4 more years at least 10 million per. No way will Morey give up his flexibility on a role player like that before next years free agency period.

Not to mention that we already have Thornton, who is more or less the same player as Belinelli.

Brewer has been struggling so I can see why some would be quick to want to dump him but he's a pretty damn good bench player. His fast break finishing, slashing ability is top notch, plus he has size and is uber quick.

Bev, MT, Brew, Harrell, Capela is a great 2nd unit that I think will give us a real advantage.

IMO If neither Motiejunas or Jones explodes when they comes back, dump both of them for either a upgrade at the PF position if one becomes available(Horford), or just for solid vet on a good contract plus picks(Sova, Markieff, Bass, Anderson, Gibson).

the problem with KJ, TJ, and Dekkar for anderson is that it isnt enough outgoing salary i believe. your short $1,174,276 from Andersons, 8.5mill contract. And while that is typically not that big of a deal, it is with us because of the hard cap stipulations we face.

On top of that it is a 3 for 1 player trade, so then you have to start figuring in roster spot cap holds.

They could add a chuck hayes or jason terry to the trade to make the salaries match, but you still get an extra cap hold and now your starting to talk about serious loss of depth.

Patterson would be a great replacement candidate but there is no telling if they would be willing to trade him nor if Morey would want his contract which will run through next year; albeit at a discounted price under the new CBA.

There is enough outgoing money. The trade works as of December 15th once KJ is eligible to be traded. I included a trade checker link in my original trade idea post. Regarding Patterson, you answered your own question. Daryl Morey would never undermine his flexibility during free agency for Patrick Patterson. The beautiful thing about a Ryan Anderson trade is he helps us now and his contract expires so we can still go after Al Horford, Durant etc.
