I think so. What's great is that the first 2 movies are going to be the "extended versions" of the original. So we will finally get to see them on the big screen. (far ****in' out!! ) I think the first 2 are going to be in theatres consecutively, followed by the "3 in one day" thing when "Return of the King" opens.
The extras are freaking awesome. ROTK will be the best movie ever. I would bet my life savings on that. Two Towers extended edition looks great, lots of drool worthy stuff. The movie transfers well onto my 51cm TV. And the sound is great. SPOILERS The Huorns (Ents) marching to Helms Deep. The Faramir/Boromir/Denethor story is played out in full. More Aragorn/Gandalf "...he fears what you may become..." More Saruman. More Treebeard (Entdroughts). Sweet sweet sweet.
