It is becoming increasingly apparent how much he means to this team on both sides of the court. His stats and play may not be sexy all the time, but he is the kind of player we need to continue to build the roster with. Dmo and Clint should be our front court of the future. Dump soft ass Jones and Howard.

are you his agent??? The deadline expires in a few hours and DMO hasn't even proved that he's back healthy and hasn't logged a single minute this season. If he proves he's back healthy and continues to perform like last year then we can talk.
Rockets will likely let other teams determine his market. That said, he's only Rocket big man that can shoot and he'll likely get offered a lot in free agency (i.e. at least 75% of max).

The team lacking a 4 that can play defense and hit the 3 and the team lacking a post game suggests that DMo is at least part of the solution. Obviously Harden and Lawson playing like crap especially defensively is another big part of the problem, but that doesn't mean that DMo being back wouldn't help the team greatly.
Oh I don't think an extension is in either Morey's best interest or DMo's best interest. Both sides probably want to let it play out, DMo will still be restricted so the Rockets can pay him whatever he's worth on the open market. If that happens to be the max, so be it.
