Unrealistic idea, but what about both? Thibs/JVG as HC with D'Antoni as "offensive coordinator" or D'Antoni as HC with Thibs/JVG as "defensive coordinator"
I am seriously wondering what Kevin McHale's IQ is. I can't imagine it being above average, or even average.
McHale isn't championship material, but who could we replace him with? It would have to be someone in-house as an interim coach. I have less faith in Fitch or Bickerstaff. They have a huge hand in rolling out this disaster we call an offense and defense.
Stop forcing small ball. It does not work. Rebounding is an issue. Going small doesn't fix that. Why does McHale always change the rotation after half time? If we're down, I get it. But when we have a 21 point lead? Even so, why take out the players playing the best that night? Hire Becky Hammond
Wins will come. Dwight will get healthier. DMo will be back. But I think we all have serious doubts whether this team has the mental capacity to really win it all. Especially with Harden as the alpha dog. And McHale as coach.
I don't care about his record. That's all the talent roster. He is still one of the worst coaches in Rockets history. He has to GO.
I think the in-house coaches if given head coaching position could do a better job. McHale is horrible. McHale's rotations are idiotic and the team most importantly looks like they are just not playing for him at this point. Time for a change. Can't stick with him and can't be afraid to make a change at this point.

EXACTLY!!!! the team was flowing then you take out Thornton and Capela for no good ****ing reason.. Man this guy sucks... I was not in the fire Mchale camp, but this is INEXCUSABLE!! 21 point lead.. they were done!!!
McHale has no feel for the game. none whatsoever. the team wins despite him. he's the absolute worst game manager coach around. Seriously. Fire him. I'm done with him.
Lawson had three shots in 37 minutes while Harden goes 2/15. We also get murdered on the boards again. We need Lawson to run this team to create easier shots and we need a legitimate PF. If McHale cannot figure out how to use Lawson properly then fire him.
False. Harden would get the ball and immediately give it to Harden. Lawson would not attack at all.. Harden kept giving it to Lawson...
I really can't think of a worse one. I'm 34 years old so I remember all of the Rockets coaches from the mid 80's until now. Our franchise really has been blessed with excellent coaches all the way up to McHale. I will definitely argue that he's the worst in franchise history, and one of the worst in NBA history.
