Gentry is in New Orleans(I think he's overrated anyway). Thibs would be great. JVG would at least mean the defense would be stellar. Scottie Brooks isn't that good of a coach IMO, but he's miles better than McHale. D'Antoni? I don't know. I think Nash made him look way better than he really is. But with a backcourt of Lawson and Harden, he would have a lot to work with.
these small ball lineups (probably should be called midget ball) are horrific. honestly how can you seriously play a lineup of lawson-harden-brewer-ariza-harrell/beverly for significant minutes and expect results? just embarrassing
Do not look at the box score. It's horrible. Lawson played for 37 minutes but he was a complete non-factor, if anything he was only a liability. Harden couldn't shoot. Thornton saved our ass in the first half, but fell flat later on. Clint played well but played 14 minutes (???) Whenever a team fails to meet the expectation that are set before the season, the head coach is the one to blame. I understand it's been 3 games and that we've added pieces and that D12 was out, as well as Jones and DMo, but 3 straight 20+ point blowouts? That is not acceptable in any manner.
I have never been in a fire McHale crowd until now. Against the Warriors, he inexplicable refused to play Harrell in the second half until the game gets out of hand. Tonight he benched Capella who was very effective. I believe Capella was not in a foul trouble in the second half
Rockets were embarrasing already at the 2014 playoffs and McHale continued. Rockets were embarrasing for the most part of the last playoffs and even losing the 6th game at LA, I'm sure McHale would still be there. So, I don't know.
Switching coaches mid season would be worse than sticking with McHale. Unfortunately he's here to stay... At least until next year.
I hate to chime back in, and yes I know it's only 3 games.....but but but I'M BACK ON BOARD! This is embarassing
Sticking with McHale would be like forfeiting the season I believe. This team will not go anywhere with him. They need some much needed direction that McHale is not able to provide.
Sometimes you have to fire a coach just because the players have stopped playing for him. If the current Rockets want to keep McHale, they don't have many games left to prove it to the front office.
capela was a huge factor in building that 20pt lead for us in the first half. his rim protection forced a ton of MIA misses which resulted in easy transition baskets for us at the other end. not playing capela in the 2nd half was simply mindboggling.
Hey, I wanted McHale gone after the Blazers loss. Management disagreed and they were vindicated last season. But they can't sit back and just assume because everything worked out great last year that eventually the ship will be righted this season.
the worst part is how important each game is in the west. can't keep the struggle fest going for too much longer. they need to make a move fast to get a real coach and hope for a super fast transition...
I cant believe how cute Mchale wants to be.. Play your biggest ****ing center!!! he was dunking, the Defense was great. The only reason he wasn't out was because of foul trouble. HE WASN'T IN FOUL TROUBLE ANYMORE!!!! I'm trying to figure out what the **** Mchale is thinking. Chuck Hayes in crunch time when he was signed of the ****ing street this morning? WTF am I watching. 21 point lead!!!!><<<SAlshjasdjasgd
I think it's pretty clear we need to be bring Lawson off the bench right now. Let's see how long it take for McHale to figure this one out. Maybe by the All-Star break?
I'm pretty sure Chris Finch would do a much better job. Chris is a good coach. But I don't see it happening. Starting November 11th the Rockets have a better schedule, maybe Dmo is back and Harden starts making his shots. Wins will come and some people will believe we are contenders again....
