So you expect a rookie power forward and Chuck Hayes to protect the paint if cappella gets in foul trouble? The Rockets are going to get murdered today
Seriously man, the only thing worse than this rockets team abysmal shooting is our depressing fans... We have to have the worse fans in sports.
As someone that grew up watching Chuck Hayes, I can't wait to see him **** on all you young blood rookies on here. He always does... People said the EXACT same things all those years ago. Just watch, but watch closely. He understands angles, and he will greatly help this defense. This guy was shutting down the paint against prime Bynum and Gasol with freaking Scola as the next best defender down low. You think he will have trouble against Hassan and Chris?
This aint 2008 anymore bruh. Loved the Chuckwagon back in those days, am not expecting much out of him outside of getting on people's asses if they are slacking. Hope he proves me wrong and is still the great post defender.
You obviously haven't been keeping up with his career the last four years lol he has sucked and retro the bench. The only reason he is here is because morey puts former players above anything else when it comes to resigning
I strongly disagree with resting Dwight tonight. He's played like 20 minutes of the season. Pick and choose your spots to rest him when we have a semi-full complement of players.
Sounds like McFail didn;t have a say in the matter. His agent may be holding him out to avoid injury and get another paycheck next season.
We certainly have more chance vs the heat. So i dont get this decision. Both okcs superstars are on fire so far their team plays great dfeence and even their bench seems to roll. It would be better to have dwight vs Miami which doesnt have good bench and they dont play so well so far. At least secure a victory.
It seems to be a management and/or training staff decision. I understand the goal is to have him healthy for the playoffs, but you have to maintain flexibility over when to rest him. If Jones/Dmo are out, then he needs to be available. Last year they rested him in back to backs down the stretch and it could have cost us our seed (see raptors game). And if he needs to be handled with kid gloves for the rest of his career, we damn well better not give him the full max.
Clint Capela has to have a big game vs Whiteside. We have to keep him off the offensive boards, limit them to one shot and get the ball out on the break.
We could have limited him tonight and played him tomorrow. He gets in foul trouble and ends up playing less than 15 mins anyway.
My entire point is they shouldn't be so black and white with the decision. If our team is playing like crap and the rest of our front court is out with injuries, then play him both games.
Getting a win vs the Heat is easier than getting a win vs OKC. Esp with the way they are playing atm. Plus at the first game of a back2back all the team is more rested and normally plays better. Maybe it's arrogance. That we can face Heat's frontcourt with a sophomore and a rookie only and a player on his last legs signed few hours before the game, and get the win and saving our powers for the real opponent OKC.
If they revert the rules implemented in 2010-11 right before Yao was done with retirement. The physical post play rules, then Hayes has a chance to be that unbelievable defensive post player years back.
