Are you ****ting me, Dwight didn't play that much because of his foul trouble and now he's going to sit out? Just as I feared, this is going to be a long season and you can bet your ass we will win less than last year.
Miami has set plays and I think Harden will be the guy left guarding Dragic most often or getting guarded by him on offense. Like a said Rockets start the season cold.
Yeah we don't need to resign him if this is the case smh. I actually like Dwight too, but this can't work at all. We're a mess.
Ehh some of guys are overreacting. Yes it sucks Dwight will probably miss a bunch of games due to not playing back to backs, but between todays game or tomorrow, I'd rather him miss a game against an eastern team given how every game in the West can affect where you end up in the standings later on.
Perhaps.... But its hard to imagine a more disappointing start to the season. Two 20pt blowout losses. Howard missing games already. Harden rusty as hell. No team chemistry or defense. Yea, it would silly to claim the season is over, but other than season ending injury to someone vital, its hard to image how things could have begun worse.
Howard is fine. White side isn't much of a threat and Capela will handle his own. Will need Howard against OKC. And don't mind me saying this but no one complains when pop sits his guys.
They have a superior combo guard setting him up. Even taking Whiteside out of the equation the core group of Wade, Dragic, and Bosh alone will do this funky Rockets team.
[rQUOTEr]“They just chose that Dwight will sit out tonight so we’ll sit him out tonight,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. “I do not think he’s hurt. Dwight had hard practices. Everybody felt it was in his best interests to play one of the next two games.” That leaves the 0-2 Rockets with only Clint Capela, Montrezl Harrell and Chuck Hayes, who signed on Sunday, among their available big men. McHale, however, said that should not prevent the Rockets from improving. “It’s not (difficult to build), not if you’ll work hard, pass the ball and play harder,” McHale said. “We’re not playing hard right now. Everybody’s got their head down. Feeling sorry for ourselves got out butt beat by 20 for two games. Whoever is here is here.” http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...at/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter[/rQUOTEr]
First one: McHale separatng himself from the decision making process of Dwight sitting out. Second one: Work hard, play harder? Two typical McHale statements to not take responsibility.
:grin::grin: But they said those TNT soundbites are just for the camera and he really says other things in the huddle/to the players.
Howard is still in his 20's... this dude is not worth his contract at all. We aren't winning with this weak dude. Time for him to take this bs show somewhere else.
0-3 then 0-4 tomorrow we will be the laughing stock of the year this year. Houston teams are just stuck in 90's thinking they gotta get with the F'in program.
Man, this game thread is depressing. If I didn't know any better, our season is already over... We are 2 games into a 82 game schedule, 2 games.
